I disagree about Pirates having, "Story, story, story, story story story , STORY!"
I think it's more about experience and atmosphere. I would argue that the problem with a lot of attractions is that they focus TOO much on story and not enough on experience. Especially since the story in so many of the attractions is either, tourists out for leisurely activity, something goes wrong, ok it's fixed, OR tourists are here, yay, they can help us find that thing/person we lost and need to find, ok, we found it.
I'm not suggesting that Pirates has no story, but that the story is very loose, open to interpretation, and very much second fiddler to experience and atmosphere.
