I am going on a 5th grade trip as a chaperone and looking for the best souvenirs and snacks around the World Showcase. Would love to hear all your ideas and any hidden secrets in the countries.

There used to be a whole pavilion for the country of Norway where Frozen is now...

My only serious advice for Epcot as a whole would be to take the time to check out all of The Seas pavilion. The aquarium is an interesting learning experience for kids. You'll see people get on the ride and then rush right out the exit, but I would say walk around both upstairs and down and use the "teachable moment."

Mitsukoshi in the Japan pavilion has some interesting variety in merchandise, that the children might enjoy. As noted above, picking a pearl is fun.

There are also some souvenirs that don't cost a lot. Every year I go there and add to my collection of chopsticks for the kitchen. They have a large selection of beautifully decorated ones.

In Mexico, you should visit La Cantina De San Angel for yummy yummy churros. And the shops in Mexico and China are fun with an inexpensive variety of items.

But if you want to go all out, visit Plume et Palette for fine Guerlain fragrances.

I went on a field trip to Epcot when i was a freshman in high school! Best field trip ever! I remember my friend buying a set of toy nun-chucks and going wild with them all the way home on the bus. Definitely check out the stores in Japan, China and Mexico they are huge and have lots of fun souvenirs. Mitsokoshi in Japan particularly has a great selection of candies and snacks from Japan which are really unique and interesting to americans, you'll probably find that area really interesting!

Take the time to view some of the areas.that people tend to blow past

Norway - The stave church, its a museum - granted its Forzen-esque now, but still, it is a museum
China - The terra cotta solders display
America - The items on display in the lobby area
Japan - The museum that is there - I believe it has a Manga display in it rignt now.
Morocco - The museum display that is there.
