Le Cellier and Chefs de France are our favorites. Want to hit Rose & Crown Pub soon though.
Chefs de France and Le Cellier are two of my favorites as well. Especially the mushroom filet:hungry:. And the French Onion Soup.

The chips at Rose and Crown are fantastic, as are the desserts. I can take it or leave it, though my parents really like it. I think last time I got a steak and chips (yeah, I was feeling so adventurous:rolleyes:) and was happy.

That's why my parents didn't like it. One of my dad's friends is 1/2 or 1/4 German, and his mother is German cook, and her food is evidently fantastic, so my parents were quite disappointed. They all like the quick service place. I...am not wild about German food. I'd rather walk to China or Mexico or Japan for food.

EDIT: Actually we were talking about it the last time my dad's friend was over here, and he was asking "Well, did they have this? Or this?" And it was just a resounding chorus of no. My dad's friend could not believe it and understood why we didn't like it.
that's exactly how I felt when I tried the "Mexican" food at the mexican pavilion (seriously, it looked like tex mex food, not mexican)

Regarding the Biergarten, didn't they recently get a new head chef, or sous chef, or whatever the term is? I've heard changes were being made menu wise, so the food may have recently improved. Has anybody been there in the past couple of months to confirm?

I have. I went in August. And, I can confirm. The food was significantly better than my previous visits (enough that I considered going back during the same trip!).

The only thing that disappointed me is they still use pork for the schnitzels...I'd love a veal version!

But, overall, the food was excellent (and I grew up in Germany, and cook German food a few times a month), and as always the show was amusing!

Let's not forget Colar Reef, There are a lot of people here that said they had nightmares there.. but lately a few people (including me) had awesome food there.

Yeah, it seems like pretty much every restaurant has cycles of some sort. If you don't like the food, wait a few months, and it'll change.

I've had good meals at Coral Reef, but this last visit I can only say I had a two good dishes.

I explain why in quite specific detail in my trip report.

It's a nice place, I'd certainly recommend it, but it's long since been a crown jewel in Epcot dining, more like a red headed stepchild.

Yeah, as far as German food goes it does... Lack pizazz. I don't think the buffet style helps either. But I did like it for what it was.

I'm German and I don't like kraut either, or many wursts. But schnitzel? Oh yeah. That's mostly what I eat there. :p

I'm seconding all of the votes for Via Napoli. I also love the Rose and Crown; it may not be the best choice for a large group, though. The same thing for San Angel...amazing but may not be ideal for a large party.

OK, you said best...

The BEST EPCOT dinners may be reached by using the BOAT at the international Gateway. Go to Yachtsman, Swan, or Dolphin... and enjoy really GOOD food at Shula's, the Yachtsman Steakhouse, or Il Mulino. Our experience has shown that there are no excellent restaurants in ANY park, with the exception of the Brown Derby at HS. There are "OK" restaurants... but you said "best" :).

Cape May buffet! Yum!

Via Napoli is a must do for us. The pizza is soooo yummy!! And the waiters are not bad to look at either ;) We've also done Coral Reef, Les Chefs, Garden Grill and Le Cellier. Garden Grill was really awesome, which I was surprised at, and the food was great! I had heard mediocre reviews but we loved it! It's a character meal though so it's a bit pricey ($38 I think for an adult?) but it is all you care to enjoy. Le Cellier was our go to but lately we've been changing things up. Les Chefs was decent but we're in no rush to go back. Coral Reef was really good too. The chocolate wave for dessert was AMAZING! Probably my favorite dessert in all of Disney :)

This question is better answered by selecting food you like than by trying to decide which places are best, KWIM?

My two favorites are Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco and Les Chefs in France. I like San Angel and Rose & Crown, too.

I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever you pick! :)
