.....we've had dinner at La Hacienda San Angel the past two trips to WDW and the food has been excellent. It's not Tex-Mex ....but more like upscale Mexican dining

San Angel Inn is a great departure from the typical Mexican fare you can find and has one of the most beautiful settings for a restaurant.

Marrakesh is also a very good if you want to try something different. They do go easy on you with the spices if you are new to the food. So it is a good transition into the cuisine.

Le Cellier is great for a more familiar meal. Also the cheese soup is addicting.

Biergarten is good if you like German fare and love the idea of eating in a communal setting with other groups of people.

We love to eat at Teppan Edo in Japan. Always fun and the food was so good, Next favorite is the San Angel in in Mexico. The atmosphere is relaxing and pleasent and the food good. Now we tried the Garden Grill in the Land Paviliion and was quite impressed. We loved the all you can eat Turkey dinner and had very pleasent CM's and were visited by a lot of Characters. We enjoyed the resteraunt very slowly moving so we could see living with the land ride while eating a very tasty dinner. We have also enjoyed Nine Dragons in China for dinner as well.

Since there are 8 of you, I would suggest Via Napoli or Teppan Edo. They are two of my favorites, but they are also great for larger parties.

Try to get Teppan Edo. It's a Japanese place where they cook in front of you and they'll put all of you at the same table. Chefs de France is my other favorite.

Sunshine Seasons is a quick service spot, but it is SO good, and there's a good deal of variety, in case any of the 8 members of your party is on the finicky side.

Err... the one time I ate there all of us hated it. Will never go back. There are better options in Epcot
Wow, really? Was it the experience of the shared, long tables and buffet service? I could see that. It's not a quiet, family-time kind of dinner setting. But the dinner show and food are fantastic!

It could be the style of food, and some German dishes don't sit right with everybody. For example, pretty much all of my family LOVES Sauerkraut. I hate it. Hate, hate, hate. Similarly, my mom isn't a huge fan of the various wursts (she certainly doesn't think they're the best! Ha. I clever). Still, I would think that the promise of fine German beer and DELICIOUS German cake would convince anybody to give it another chance, if they're of a mind to.

San Angel atmosphere is awesome - depends what you order

Nine dragons - same as above - China is just a lovely pavilion inside and out

I had a wonderful dinner at Les Chefs during my honeymoon - crowded, noisy, but it doesn't bother me much, but for quiet and more intimate I would go somewhere else.

I like the Le Cellier interiors but some don't. It is crowded too. The food and prices made it worth it, but now I have reservations...

We hated the food. The rest of it was fine. I'm not wild about German food to begin with, and to me that...was horrible. Neither of my parents really liked it either. We normally won't do buffets anyway because there's no sense in paying the adult price for my brother to barely eat anything there, but we definitely are never doing that one again

Le Cellier and Chefs de France are our favorites. Want to hit Rose & Crown Pub soon though.

If you do, try the Bangers and Mash...yummmm....

I'd have to say that my best Epcot meals have been at San Angel Inn. The Carne Asada - strip steak - is to die for. Great margaritas too. And the atmosphere - the building looks like a Mayan temple, and the interior looks like a Mexican village at twilight, complete with a volcano. I LOVE this place - my fave place to eat in Epcot. Second fave is Rose and Crown.

I must agree, for the most part. I've been there twice. Now, the atmosphere - and the beer - are first rate...but the food... is very very MEH. Bland and not especially German in my opinion. A friend of mine is German and I've had dinner at his house, and MAN!!! Puts the Biergarten to shame!

That's why my parents didn't like it. One of my dad's friends is 1/2 or 1/4 German, and his mother is German cook, and her food is evidently fantastic, so my parents were quite disappointed. They all like the quick service place. I...am not wild about German food. I'd rather walk to China or Mexico or Japan for food.

EDIT: Actually we were talking about it the last time my dad's friend was over here, and he was asking "Well, did they have this? Or this?" And it was just a resounding chorus of no. My dad's friend could not believe it and understood why we didn't like it.
