Best Beer in the World

Been to Big River several times. Won't go back due to the last several times the service was awful and rude.

As for Red Brick, where is that found at Epcot?

I hope there is a decent selection for the F & W fest.

I love this thread and I have tried most of the ones mentioned. I will say I nor my family will ever go back to Big River. We have been to WDW 21 times and have never been treated badly as we have on our two visits there.

If you ever go through Chattanooga you should try our Big River, the original either downtown or at the mall. They always are very nice and the beer is unique

The Unibroue beers are really worth it, and receive my vote for the "best". I enjoy the La Fin Du Monde while my brother loves the Maudite. We occasionally buy them up here in Chicago, and this past Christmas I purchased the logo glasses for our Unibroue tasting pleasure.

My great hope is that one day they will have the Chambly Noire by Unibroue at Le Cellier - that is the day we will gladly spend the extra to go back!

I will. I like the concept and the beer is good. We usually stay at the BC so it is close while we are at Disney. It is just too bad with the concept, the killer location.............Disney should get on this and correct the staffing problem there.

Guess I've been lucky with my servers at Big River. I've found them very friendly.

Of course, after downing a pitcher of that beer, having already started with cocktails at the Belle vue Lounge, the waiter could have slapped me with the menu.................. and I still would have been happy.:hammer:

The food and Wine Festival Guide is out...

The Beer selection is seriously lacking. They, as expected, eliminated the 15 years for 15 beers booth. And the replacement is the Craft Beer booth. Which has less options, and stretches the bounds of what can be considered a craft beer. Here is the list.

Full Sail IPA
Sierra Nevada
Abita — Purple Haze
Red Hook Pilsner
Blue Moon
Leinenkugal
Key West Sunset Ale
Widmer Hefeweizen

Here is the list from the Brewers Collection booth (Germany)
I really enjoy the Altenmunster Octoberfest, In fact, octoberfest is my favorite style of beer.

Radeberger Pilsner
Schofferhofer Weizen
BraufactuM Indra
Rauchweizen Roog Smoked Wheat Bier
Altenmünster, Octoberfest
Altenmünster Dunkel
Hovel’s
Sion Kolsch

Finally the Sam Adams options, with Brick Red noticeably absent
What style of beer is the Sam Adams Festival beer typically? Is it always the same beer?

Samuel Adams® Beers:
Boston Lager®
Octoberfest
Cherry Wheat®
16th Anniversary Festival Beer Boston Ale®
Cream Stout
Blackberry Witbier
Latitude 48 IPA
Samual Adams Light

Since this is a beer thread I would like to ask about the price of beer please. My last visit was in May 2010 and the price per beer on property was $6.00 each. That was in the restaurants and pool bars. Has the price gone up since then? I will be visiting in September and would like to budget accordingly. Thank you.

PS. For the record my beer of choice is either Sam Adams or Yuengling.

The price for beer has stayed the same.

For an example. A Bud Light in the World Showcase is 5.50. A Sam Adams is 6.25.

If you want a "specialty beer" they run around 7-9$. For example a Bass Ale is $8.

Yeah, that is really disappointing. I thought they did a pretty good job with the "15 Years...15 Beers" booth last year, and its replacement this year is pretty lame in comparison. Sierra Nevada? What kind? Is it something that I can't buy in any store across the country or in any bar on property, because if it's not, I'm not impressed.

I'll miss the Session lagers. They were an excellent tasting beer that had just the right lightness (both in flavor and fill) to be refreshing on a hot stroll around the World Showcase.

One problem with draft beer at WDW is it is never cold enough though.

I never noticed the beer not being cold enough. It always seems to start out plenty cold, but if not consumed rapidly, it does get warm in that hot Florida sun.
