Wow! Had these for the first time last October! Actually had them twice!! Is it true that they are on the Dining Plan as a snack?????

This trip I am in search of the Sticky Mickey!

Whoa, what a way to ruin a plate of fries. Of course, I believe anything more than a little salt and vinegar is overkill.

Amen to that. You must be from New England. :)

The only thing I'll put on my fries other than the aforementioned vinegar and salt, if I'm feeling crazy, is some cheddar.

I'm so boring.

I'll see your gravy, and raise you cheddar cheese curds (or shredded cheese).

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the uniquely Québécois invention of POUTINE!! http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poutine (and for an even more amusing tale of the deliciousness of poutine, go to http://mfdh.ca/writing/nonfiction/Poutine_She_Is_Delicious.html )

Heart attack on a plate... but it's sooo good!!! :slurp: Trust me - I didn't want to try it at first, and now I have such a wicked craving for one... Stupid suit that doesn't quite fit anymore! :brick:

(It's even better with grilled hotdogs chopped up in it, or with chicken and peas! )

And THAT'S why I'm so mad I didn't try Figaro Fries - I feel it is my duty as a Quebecker to see the other creative ways people have devised to make fries even more fattening!!

Crumble feta cheese over the top of piping hot fries and allow to melt slightly. :slurp: Figaro Fries rock but feta is better!

So what's the official word? Is it ranch or mayo?

If it's ranch, then I'm leaving for WDW tomorrow. If it's mayo, then I'll never order them (assuming I can't order them w/o mayo) =/

Ranch is a natural topping for fries. Mayo is just plain disgusting.

I had them on my las trip and thought they were OK but not nearly as good as everyone had made them out to be. Part of it was the same reason why nachos somtimes stink. All the "stuff" tossed on top of the chips or in this case fries is just on top. All the fries down at the bottom are lonely.

mayo is very yummmy on fries so is ranch but mayo is much better! not just regular mayo out of the fridge though it has to be that special sauce from mcdonalds its called mcchicken sauce its so yummy! do they have that in the states, im actually traveling htere ina few weeks (not to disney :( ) but just wondering if they have mcchicken sauce at mcdonalds?

Woot! I'm all over them next time i'm at WDW. If it were Mayo it'd be a different story, I'd stay as far away from that restaurant as possible LOL

To quote Bruce Willis in "The Whole Nine Yards"...

"Every red-blooded American knows that the only condiment that you are ever supposed to put on a hamburger (or French Fries) is KETCHUP! Or MAYBE some of that SPECIAL SAUCE you like so much here in Canada; which I think has a little bit of mayonnaise in it too! But I swear to God when they start slapping that mayonnaise on there I could kill somebody."

Actually, that's less of a Canadian thing, and more of a Quebec thing. It comes from Belgium... And I'm one of the zombies who loves the stuff - it's like crack!

mmmm... fries... mmmm.... :slurp:

Steve, what have you created with this thread??!! You're throwing my diet to Hell, I tell you. HELL!!!!!

Vinegar on fries is a New England thing? Wow, you learn something new every day. That's where I live/where I'm from, but I had no idea it wasn't something done everywhere. I guess I never noticed before. When you get beach fries it's really the only topping you need, save for some nice coarse salt. I'm in love with ketchup - but don't need 'em for fries with some nice salt and vinegar. Since it's also a potato chip flavor, it never occured to me people would find it odd.

I have gotten funny looks asking for celery salt on hot dogs in other places, though, lol. It's funny, because I can't remember the last time I bought a hot dog at home and didn't see it right there next to the ketchup, mustard, and relish. But I tried to get one in St. Louis once and they looked at me like I was asking for caviar on top.

As to the Figaro Fries, I haven't eaten at Village Haus since I was a kid and I got a turkey burger by accident...I was 7 and just said I wanted a burger. It didn't look right, but I put ketchup on it anyway and tried to eat it...worst experience ever LOL. I keep meaning to stop - I'll have to on my next trip; even though I'm not the biggest fan of ranch they do look good. Reminds me of the loaded cheese fries at Ruby Tuesday's.

Wonder what they'd think of poutine? :lookaroun

All right, I might get these next trip, provided I can order them with bacon and cheese only. My DDP credit, my rules. :drevil:

And here's a tip for those of you that go to Burger King... ask for the onion ring sauce with your fries! :slurp:
It's somewhat spicy like the onion dips that you get at the steakhouses, but boy is it yummy! :sohappy: Ketchup gets boring after a while....
