Beach Club/Yacht Club rooms

Hi everyone, I know its always an ongoing opinion about which one stay at. We cant decide ourselves (altho there will be no kids wiht us) but on Disneys website and various others Im seeing where some rooms look updated and some dont. Have they all been updated or are some of them still older? The reviews Im reading seem to be mixed about the rooms needing updating etc. If you want a newer updated room etc do you need to ask for one specifically? Thanks

I unfortunately don't know the answer to your specific question but I can say that in 2008, we stayed at Yacht Club - club level - and the rooms were lovely! We really loved the Yacht Club!

All the rooms have been updated. I would not recommend a pool view, it is really really loud.

i loved my rooms at both. they have flat screen tvs, double sink out side the bathroom, regular bath/shower, a privacy courtain between the sinks and the beds, a desk with a cute lifeguard mickey, table and two chairs, coffee maker, a mini fridge, and an ihome dock/alarm clock. also the beds are so comfy you wont ever want to leave also stormalong bay is worth it same with beaches and cream

I definitely prefer the decor of the rooms at the YC more, but the ambiance is better at BC.

I haven't stayed at the Yacht Club but the Beach is fantastic! I don't think you could go wrong with either though!

we have stayed in both resorts. just spent a few days at the yacht club last month. rooms were great. we switched our christmas trip from AKL to Yacht club based on our stay this past July. Both resorts are great (beach and yacht) and you cant beat the pool and slide. The only real difference to us was the yacht club was a lot less busy. Beach club just seems to have more going on in the lobby and around the pool (beaches and cream and cape may cafe). other than that, they are pretty much the same.
