Found a special on room rates for resorts and villas(up to 45% off). We have never stayed at a villa, so does anyone have any comments about the Beach club villas?
Thanks

I love the beach club villas!

The pool is great and the walk to epcot is fabulous! The room was a bit worn, but it still looked great and we had no problems.

I was booking a week at the PORS, and we thought it would be nice to extend it by three days and stay at another resort. I was considering a value resort when I saw the deal this morning for January and first week of Feb 45% off for villas it certainily seems like a good deal.

Our base is the BCV and we love them. In fact one year we stayed at AKL and the kids though they enjoyed it couldn't wait to get back to BCV. Thy have a great pool, from what I have seen and heard one of the best on property.

If you can get 5th floor Epcot view, (though I don't think they call it that anymore) you can see the fireworks at Epcot if you are home and sometimes the Magic Kingdom Fireworks.

We absolutely love BCV and are really disappointed if they're booked and we have to stay somewhere else. Besides having the best pool on property, location is key for me. Having the ability to walk to both Epcot and the Studios is a HUGE plus. It's so easy to hop over to Epcot in the afternoon to grab a Grand Marnier orange slush, or crepe, or fish and chips, then head back to the pool. In addition to the location, the resort itself is also wonderful. We'll miss Art the Greeter, but BCV is still our first choice.

another positive vote for BCV. Its our DVC home resort and we choose to stay here than any other resort. The pool, walking distance to Epcot and HS, and the nightlife at the Boardwalk, its a resort that we at home in and can spend the day there and not even visit a park. I would go for it if you have the means. But once you do it you may never want to go back to a value resort.:D

Not to rain on your parade, but you may want to temper your enthusiasm just a skosh until you call & can make a reservation. While I suppose every villa resort will have some discounts available, I suspect the discounts "up to 45 percent off" will only be available at Old Key West & Saratoga.

To add to what Slappy said, BCV is the toughest DVC Resort to book. If you get a chance to stay there, by all means, do it! Beach Club is just a great Resort.

Already booked. I was looking on the Disney web site and that is where I saw the savings special. When I looked at the Beach club just for fun the Villas came up as an alternative with a great price. So now we are doing 3 days at the BCV and 7 days at the PORS.:D

Not old, just vintage.
I really enjoyed my stay at BCV in July. I also booked with a 45% off deal and was so happy that I did. The location can't be beat and I absolutely loved the rest of the resort. My only complaint would be that the room was a little bit worn, but nothing major.
