Be Our Guest Restaurant Opening?

I hear the gray stuff is delicious!

But seriously, I hope the menu has a French flair to it. And not just quiche and creme brulee. We'll have to wait and see.

I would think they could provide a couple truly French dishes along with some more conservative fare. Typical Disney restaurant has about eight entrees.

If they could take a few courses from the Les Chefs menu at Epcot, the prices would not be astronomical (ha ha ha . . . this is Disney, right?) and would still result in some good French cuisine. Being the Magic Kingdom, they will still probably find a way to mix in some pommes frites and (melted) fromage.

That website is akin to this in terms of it's all rumor or hearsay unless officially verified by Disney itself.

Imagineers MAY have ridden the attraction, but front-line hourly and leadership most certainly have not. And they always will as Disney always does Cast Member previews prior to opening a new attraction. However, they've never done one when the walkway to get there is still a full-on construction zone. CM previews are essentially pre-soft openings when the attraction could very well take guests, but they want to work out the kinks first.

Unless the FLE is on the verge of opening, the odds of anyone other than the designers themselves (or executives) riding the attraction are incredibly slim.

That site also says TLM is due to open in the summer, when every verifiable source, including Disney itself is saying it will not open until the fall. Last I checked, summer =/= fall and fall itself is a period running from September 22nd through December 21st this year so we could very well have an opening as late as December 20th and still have it be technically classified as 'Fall 2012'. Kind of like how WWoHP was set to open 'Spring 2010' and opened June 18, just 3 days shy of the first day of summer.

Don't forget it's going to be counter service at lunch and table service at dinner.

I've heard the counter service menu is going to be much more upscale than the other counter service offerings (which, to be fair, have gotten a lot more creative recently due to the difficulty of being able to get into any table service locations at MK without ADRs). I've heard that it will be comparable to Panera Bread or other similar fast casual locations.

While I don't care for Panera, I get the concept of what you are saying. I like the changes we have seen lately to the counterservice menus. Hopefully BoG is the next step in the evolution.

Well if it follows the same path as all the other restaurants you will get unique dining for about a year then they will walmart it back.

I'm guessing that "Be our Guest" will have some kind of special effects going on, like something similar to the Disney Cruise ship restaurants

is it just me or is anyone else worried about be our guest restaurant. The image of what it was in the movie is etched in whoevers mind who has seen the movie. So just making a good Restaurant isn't good enough for me. I think they have to stay true to the movie, and by some of the images im seeing,

i dont think they are.

It's hard to judge from the very brief and un-detailed computer renderings that are shown in the video. Also remember that the restaurant will have multiple dining rooms so they one we see in the video may not be the iconic ballroom from the movie.

I just took my daughter to the 3D re-release and watched the environment with great satisfaction. There is lots to draw from for the realm. I have high expectations.

im not the type that says that likes to talk bad about early sketches or trailers or anything, but this is different. That ballroom is so iconic that they have to get it right. I am looking forward to this more than any other thing opening, but if they get this wrong, it will be the biggest disappointment. My expectations are high. Maybe too high.
