Be Our Guest lunch FP test ending?

Keep trying, wait 10 or 15 minutes and try again. I saw no availability for our trip (July) either, then all of a sudden there were quite a few times available to choose from.
I've made a few lunch reservations for our family who will be there at different times over the week. I know for a fact my sister will be stealing one from me when she complains she didn't get around to making any reservations

I can't book lunch at Biergarten in August. The system is down, somebody break out the gif of The Cheat.

Managed to book!

Interestingly MDE told me I had already made a reservation despite the fact that I had not got to a confirmed screen, had an email confirmation or credit card pre-authorisation when I was trying earlier in the day!

Anyone else who has been trying lots of different dates/times today might want to have a look through their reservations...

Jumping through all these hoops to reserve a meal on vacation is ludicrous.

I agree, but I dodn't have to jump through hoops to make it. I actually got two ADRs for BOG for our last trip with little difficulty. The issue I had was fixing a glitch.

Is it just me or is this taking absolutely all the fun out of vacation? First off, I usually plan my park days based on the weather when I am down there but now I need to book fastpasses months in advance and if there is horrible weather I just wasted everything I booked online. Now I need to book quick service lunch reservations in advanced?! How am I suppose to know when my family will be hungry or if I'll be stuck in a line somewhere months in advanced? This mymagic+ thing is out of control. I know I am making this sound worse then it is but this really annoys me. Back to your scheduled programming.

Serious question. If we book a reservation for a party of 2 and someone else (3rd guest) accompanies us can they eat with us? We have done the lunch reservation several times in the past while it was in trial mode and we sat ourselves so seating didn't matter and the third person is a very young child who won't be ordering anything. Just curious.

99.9% chance they'll tell you yes, the third person may join you.
I had a similar issue last summer, and they said no problem, and adjusted the reservation to reflect the additional person.

It's the bigger changes they'll say no to. For adding one up, or going one down they're pretty lenient.

I imagine that once more and more people have experienced Be Our Guest that the lunch won't require this to get in even if it is still an option. I could be wrong but i think that the lunch popularity is more due to people wanting to experience the new restaurant but not being able to get a dinner reservation so lunch is the next best option. This caused huge crowds and even lines at lunch to get in there and this is the solution to that issue. They definitely need several more dining options in this park but eventually people will likely realize that the lunch at Be Our Guest isn't worth all the trouble.....or they won't......either way I'd like to see another dining option and preferrably something with a decent and somewhat unique menu.

Yay! Managed to get a reservation at midday on the 21st of April. We were originally going for 1 pm, but that time kept on moving up until it got to 2:30 (too close to FoF FP), so we snagged a 12:15 ressie XD

I agree, I thought the whole point of the quick service lunch & full service dinner at BOG would make it so you don't need reservations for lunch, so even if you don't get in for dinner you still can go for lunch. Then they added FastPass, then they went to full reservation. Why not just have reservations for dinner and a line for lunch, same as every other quick service on property.

You'll be absolutely fine. BOG ADRs are just to manage numbers, not reserve tables, and the capacity and turnover is high so one or two extra people would be no bother.

I also over estimate my reservations when I can. It's just my wife and I going in May right now, but I've made all of our dining reservations for 8. I've never had a problem calling up to reduce them if needed.

Anyone who hasn't managed to get reservations for when they want keep checking. I wanted a reservation for the 15th of April and there wasn't any so booked the 17th instead and I checked back later and there was a range of times for the 15th. I'm not sure if this is just people cancelling or something else.
