I have a 4:15 BOG Adr scheduled for our trip in September. We consist of Husband, Daughter Granddaugher age 1 and Grandson age 5 (with wheat and Beef allergy) and of course myself. The more I have been reading about the quality of food the more I am thinking about changing Adr. I have not heard whether or not the can accomodate a food allergy or not. Any opinions as to if I should keep ADR or not?:confused:

I ate lunch there in December of 2012.

The inside is truly beautiful. They themed it wonderfully and it looks just like the movie.

Since I ate there for a counter service meal, I thought the food quality was excellent.

I have never heard of a Disney Table service that could not accommodate a food allergy, but it is possible.

In my opinion I would not waste a dinner (or TS credit if you are on the dine plan) at Be Our Guest. They are letting the atmosphere lower the quality of the food because they know the atmosphere will fill the tables. It's not terrible food but you can spend your money or credits better elsewhere.

I would do lunch at Be Our Guest. The lunch offerings are very good and then it gives you a chance to view the castle and everything inside for much less money. As long as you get in line for lunch earlier then when you want to eat, you should be able to get in for lunch. For example in March (I believe the crowd level according to touring plans for the park that day was an 8 out of 10) we got in line at 10:30am and the line was almost to Gaston's Tavern, we were inside with our food at 11:30am in perfect time for lunch. Hopefully you will not wait longer then an hour if you get there a little early and are going during a slower time of year.

The only reason I might keep the ADR is if you are undecided if you can make it for lunch. I've been told dinner ADRs are pretty hard to get so having one is probably best if you don't plan to eat there for lunch. You really cannot leave WDW without getting inside that castle, it is amazing!

I am not sure where you have eaten before or what other ADRs you have, but if you are looking for a suggestions to take that spot close to the MK, I would recommend Ohanas or Kona Cafe for some really amazing food.

Here is my thought. We also have reservations for BOG for our upcoming Septemper trip, i have been apprehensive about it after reading/hearing the negative reviews, and if true i think this one of those places that is indeed more about the amotsphere, but i think that in this case the atmosphere will be worth it for a 1 time visit. I have been to just about every ts meal that i want to go to over the years, and i have plans to return to all the ones that are must dos for us.
For this trip Im keeping my ressie at BOG.

I always highly recommend lunch time to eat at BOG.

Overall, its a great experience. I can shed a lot of light for you in regards to allergy. My son (infant baby) has a dairy allergy and since my wife is 'feeding' him we are always worried about requesting dairy free food for her. But with the process they have set up and the touch screen order process this was a breeze. You select your allergy and the screen shows you what you can eat. By far and away the easiest allergy order process that we encountered while there. I highly recommend BoG for the ease of allergy itself. It's just an easy experience.

We have eaten in various spots and highly prefer and recommend the West Wing. My kids just loved that room.

Overall, I highly recommend eating here for lunch. It's cheaper than dinner, much faster, and no need for reservations. The atmosphere and environment are still top-notch no matter dinner or lunch. The allergy situation was just awesome. A job well done for Disney.

I'd keep it. We just ate there in June and the place is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's also one of the best places to eat if you have an allergy. My ds has several and they were the best of all the excellent places for such. BTW the rest of the food was also quite good!

I've eaten dinner a couple of times in BOG and find it great. The prices aren't really all that much different from many other places at the resort, and in some cases lower for a better atmosphere.

I have a gluten intolerance they were great and accomodating my needs. The food is not spectacular but it is good. I think the food is better than most TS restaurants at the MK. I would keep the reservation since you have never been.

I would keep the reservation. You never know if you like it until you try it. I have seen mixed reviews as well, but I want to decide about BOG myself. We have an ADR for Nov. and I am really looking forward to it. You can always call Disney dining and ask about the food allergy accommodations.

Wow, I really am suprised about all of the negative reviews. We ate at BOG last Novemeber for dinner and found it too be great. Now, there are other restaurants that we preffered more but we would eat at BOG if we had the oppurtunity to do so. We are trying to share the goodness by not eating there again and letting others get a reservation since we already ate there.

However, when it comes to O'hana's that fair game. :D

Read all the reviews, not just the negative ones.

Since you already 'have' a reservation, if you think the food isn't good enough, go for a 'snack'. Appetizers, desert, skip the meal, check the place out. Then later on eat something more substantial at a better price point. The salmon at Colombia Harbor House was pretty tasty, and the steamed broccoli was, well, steamed broccoli, but the consistency of it suggested it might have actually have been fresh and not frozen (and certainly not canned).

We to read all the negative or so-so reviews and decided we were not upset we couldn't score an ADR for September. We will try lunch and use our TS credits elsewhere!

At this point you could probably auction off your spot if you were going to cancel. It's THAT hard to get. I'm not cancelling ours even if they start serving the food with a side of boogers.
