Me and my fiance will be going to Disney Dec. 26th-31st for our honeymoon, this summer we stayed at our resort (Coronado springs) to be at the bar by the pool and the lake til 1AM, but I know during the winter the hours are shorter. Which resorts have good bars that we could go to after a night at the parks for a drink? we dont want to go to DTD since we dont want to have to pay just to go to a club...we would rather just go to a bar/restaurant to hang out at for a while. Any help appreciated!

We have always enjoyed going to the Belle Vue Lounge at the Boardwalk Resort... if the weather is nice. They are on the second floor and their balcony has a great view of the boardwalk and Yacht and Beach Club. Very pretty with all the lights at night.

I agree with Moustronaut, The Bellview Lounge at Boardwalk is great. Its usually pretty quiet.

I have always enjoyed The Outer Rim at Contemporary and the bar at the Polly as well.

Just a thought....but on MY honeymoon, I just bought a big bottle of champagne and my wife and I stayed in our 12th floor room at The Contemporary Resort. ::wink:: We had no desire to go out to a bar at night.

Have to go to the tambu lounge(poly), ESPN(boardwalk), tune-inn (mgm), Orlando Ale House (off property) and you can always go to the bar at the california grill with no reservations (just go early)

You can always drink at Pleasure Island without paying admission to a club. There are several outside bars, I'd recomend the one outside the Adventures' Club. But if you want to sit down and relax, there's nothing better than the Polynesian and night with the music in the background. If you go, get a Backscratcher! They are awesome!

I agree that the Tambu Lounge at the Poly is a must... The Pina Coladas there have long been my favorite... And yes, the Backscratchers are fun. Walter has served many a good drink there for a number of years... For a beautiful, quiet and relaxing spot, the Belle Vue Lounge at the BW is just the place-- Look for Allen tending bar. There are also several nice spots at the Y&B Clubs-- Martha's Vineyard, Ale & Compass and the Crews Cup Lounge. Raglan Road on PI has several bars that are usually busy and there's entertanment-- and no admission charge. For a taste of life at the top, the Contemporary's California Grill lounge can't be beat... for a magnicifent view of the MK... and great food. Jennifer has served us there several times.

Have fun drinking your way around the World! ;)

- Bel Vue Lounge is a must! A true WDW hidden gem
- River Roost at POR is a great time
- There's a lounge at the GF that is really romantic. I can't remember the name of it, but it's on the 2nd floor
- California Grill is nice and they have good appetizers (peel & eat shrimp -- yum!)
- Martha's Vineyard at the Beach Club (or is it the Yacht Club) is good for a glass of wine, but not much on atmosphere

We usually do Bel Vue after an Epcot day. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a cocktail after a long day of walking. Walk out the back gate to the Boardwalk. Very convenient.

After a MK day, we do the MK resorts. Honestly, our favorite to do is get some beers or a small bottle of wine from the gift shop and enjoy on the beach at the Poly. It's a good place to start, then walk or monorail over to GF and Contemporary. That gives you a good feel for all 3 spots.

River Roost is a blast, but it's kind of out of your way. It is worth doing, though.

Please stay away from the stALE House. That place isn't that great unless you're a Pepsi and Miller fan. I like going to the brew pub at the Boardwalk. They brew some pretty good stuff, and it's not the same ol' same ol' you get everywhere else.

Also, you're going during a busy time, so most the bars and restaurants will stay open due to the high crowd levels at the parks and resorts. You should be able to chill out wherever. The poolside bars might not stay open as late if it's cold out, you can always pack a cooler and stock up at Publix nearby!

If your looking for something a little less quiet, my suggestion would be Jellyroll's at the Boardwalk. The cover I think is $6.00 unless its changed, it's always lots of fun and open till 2am.
