I may be losing it here, but I was hoping someone could help me out. I seem to vaugely remember a campaign at Epcot back in like 94 or 95 called "Barbie at Epcot"...yeah, as in Barbie the doll. Did this ever exist or did I just dream it? If it did actually happen, which I think it did....when was it? Where was it? What was it? Was it a show or some kind of short-lived Barbie ride or Meet and Greet? Any help with this would be appreciated. I never saw this at Epcot myself, but I remember the advertising, etc. Thanks!

No you aren't losing it...I don't remember when it was because i was probably only 7 or 8 at the time, but i do remember seeing a Barbie show at the American Garden Theatre in Epcot. And then they had Barbie and Skipper going around the park in a hot pink convertible!!! I got their autographs and i still have them!!:D

Disney and Mattel released a VHS video that you got free when you purchased a barbie doll...I bought the doll and gave it away and kept the video....Barbie's Birthday Party at EPCOT, it showed how they made the stage show and some clips from actulle show from the American Garden 's Theater.

My sister got a barbie doll and got that very video. I actually saw it when I was younger (obviously something I'm not very proud of)! I remember that the two girls hosting it were really annoying!

I don't get it. We had Barbie in Epcot, why not G.I. Joe, or Masters of the Universe, eh?

Yeah, it was in 1994, and it was called "The Magical World of Barbie". It was in the American Adventure. I didn't watch it, as I was watching the American Adventure show, but my aunt decided not to join me and wait for me outside because she doesn't speak English and wouldn't understand the show. I took 45 minutes inside the building and she stayed there watching the Barbie show!!! When I got out, she was really mad, her face wasn't friendly at all! She said it was the most ridiculous thing she had ever seen!

Here's a pic of Barbie and Ken. This was at MK, right before step off for Easter Parade circa 94.

One of my former students was actually in the show "back in the day". She still works at Disney but in Animal Kingdom - she choreographed the parade and "Tarzan Rocks" show.

And when my current students performed last year in Magic Music Days, our CM was also in the show - he was good friends with my former student.

They had some great stories and lots of memories from the show although I never had the chance to see it live.
