In all seriousness, all of WDW needs more small scale things like at DLR. If they added a few more things like this and a couple of small scale carnival like rides to Dinoland (similar to Paradise Pier, Bugs Land, or all of Cars Land sans RSR), whilst they are dorking around in the TLFKACMM (The Land Formerly Known as Camp Minnie Mickey) that would go a long way to revitalizing the park. It seems weird how they've decided that if people are at WDW they don't want things to do.
Agreed. After seeing so much removed from DAK, this is good news.

Excellent! What this park needs to make it cutting-edge is a renewable, sustainable resource to entertain the masses! Delightfully footprint-reduction friendly!

No debate here.

Might this be foreshadowing of:

I'm on my phone, but can someone put up a photo of the history channel guy saying, "pandas" instead of "aliens"?

I had the chance to ask Joe Rohde about Pandas at the expo. He explained that one of the biggest hurdles was that Disney was a for profit company as opposed to many of the other stateside facilities that are non-profit companies.
I don't get it. Are the pandas too expensive? Is there some rule that you cannot have pandas and make money?

Aside from the Avatarland insanity, I really like that guy! I just don't know what the for-profit thing means...as it relates to the pandas, I mean.

I would LOVE to see pandas at the AK. There is something that would make me all enthused and excited. :)

China controls access to the Pandas. As I understand it they zoos that have Pandas don't own them China does and they only have them as long and China allows it and they follow China's rules.

Pretty much. It's a costly payment for a "lease" on the Pandas. They, along with any offspring that may be conceived as part of any breeding program are considered property of China, and must be returned at the end of the lease or upon request. Recent arrangements were $1 million per year. Plus whatever costs associated with an new enclosure and training. And apparently (according to Wikipedia) the US Fish & Wildlife Service will only let a zoo get an agreement if they can guarantee that China will spend at least half the money on conservation.

I think DeVine looks better....and moves better.
Devine defiantly moves more fluidly and blends in better. He was still cool to look at though. With this and the new acrobatic show in Asia, things are looking brighter for DAK.

And thank you Master Yoda. I found him and got some video as well.
