Speaking of bad show, this picture looks like it might have been taken in Baghdad or Beirut but it's actually form the monorail of the CR.

At first I thought that this may be a "Disney lawyer warning".

Then I noticed the lack of capitalization and proper punctuation. :lookaroun

Well on second thought....it MIGHT BE a lawyer !

Very doubtful. They have fired CM's, but have never sued a guest for taking pics.

"trees"

This doesn't really fit the bill, but maybe it will feed some of that disney secrets appetite. I always wondered about the "Tree" that stuck out like a sore thumb around the AK parking lot and I notice one from the monorail around the Polynesian/GF looking out (may be the same one, who knows). My guess was right that they are disguised communications towers. May not be news to anyone else or make me Columbo, but it confirms my hunch. See link.

They can't very well clear the entire building in one night..so images like this are going to be seen. I don't think it's bad show!

I know that the parade on the water(on the dock from Wilderness lodge) the floats are in a "secert river". If you look carfully :lookaroun on the monerail, you can see them

Could not agree more!!! I have pics of a bunch of backstage areas even some great ones of HM during the HMH change over that I share with my friends and to show off every now and then

[...]

Plus it is one of the coolest things about being a CM.

So its cool if you are in the 'in crowd'? Its ok if you are paid by the mouse, but not ok if you aren't?

Bleh

If people want to see backstage, they made that choice. Its not taking away the magic if they seeked out the images themselves.

they can take the film, i beleive. ive seen it done to people taking pictures at concerts that didnt allow it.

Slightly different scenario. In almost all cases, tickets to events like that have the prohibtion printed on them. And since those events are considered private, the event coordinator has the right to not allow shooting. However, it's illegal for them to take your film, especially without recompense. That people let them do that is up to their own ignorance.

Again, the best they can do is escort you off the property. And if I have a mini P&S digital, they're gonna do what when I put the camera in my pocket and refuse to delete the images? Physically restrain me and take my camera? Yeah, that'd be good for a lawsuit to pay for at least a couple 10-day trips.

As an aside, how would you actually know if a photo posted IS from backstage? Except in the cases that the background contains something identifiable that would prove you're behind the scenes, you could post pics of a lot of places and claim they're backstage, couldn't you?

Ahhhh.....So now we're basically at the root of the problem: Once non-CMs get a glimpse of backstage areas, it suddenly takes away one of the cool things about being a CM. :drevil:

I was just about to say...unless you look at the first picture very carefully, how would you know it was from Disney backstage? There is nothing identifiable about it. To the casual observer, it's just warehouse/industrial park.
