Does anyone have pictures of Backstage area of the Parks? Especially the Magic Kingdom where they store all of the Parade Floats? I would love to see some! Here is what i could find so far....

You can see the parade coming from the garage. Any others?

You are not supposed to take pics backstage. CM's can get fired for doing it and guest can have there cameras taken away. It is a bad idea to do it and can only hurt others:D

I would be very interested to hear of a case where Disney tried to take someone's personal property from them. Even if it was posted "No photography" the best they could do is escort you off premises.

Agreed! This isn't the war room of the Pentagon we're talking about. Disney Security has no authority whatsoever to confiscate someone's camera. If they catch you, they can escort you off property and they can ask you to delete the photos you've taken. But if you refuse, there's nothing they can do about it.

Why did you take them then? If someone wants to see them, it's their choice. You're not forcing anyone to have the "magic ruined" for them.

True, but this thread isn't in the How do they do that? or even the WDW Secrets where people go to find out how the magic is done.

This is General Discussion and not really the place to be posting these types of pictures!

Nevertheless, the thread title is "Backstage Area Pics". I would think that regardless of where you put it, anyone not interested in seeing the photos could just avoid this thread altogether. It just seems pointless for someone to take the time to post just to say, "Hey I've got pics of backstage but I'm not going to post them here in this thread where they've been specifically requested". :hammer:

And it's that poster's choice whether to post them or not. You cannot force someone to post something they don't want to post.

The OP asked if anyone had pictures of backstage areas of the parks. Someone said they did. Just because they do, doesn't mean they have to post them.

Just because you have or know a piece of information, does NOT obligate you to share.

He shared the fact that pictures do indeed exist,.

Disney is very protective of their image and show.

Backstage pictures are BAD SHOW.

Edit: oops TAC beat me to it.

Since two of you misunderstood me, I'll look at the common denominator here (me) and conclude that I did not state my point very clearly. My apologies.

I was not trying to "force" the poster to post the photos he said he has. I was just curious as to why he made a point of even posting in this thread if all he was going to do was say that he has the photos but is not going to post them. It's kind of like when someone starts a thread with a general question like, "Does anyone know of any good hotel deals..." or something to that effect, and people take the time to respond with things like, "Sorry I don't". That always makes me laugh and I want to ask, "Why did you bother posting then". I guess it's kind of the same thing here. Only it almost seemed like maybe he was showing off. Like he wants to make sure everyone knows he has pics,....but oh no, you can't see them. And then to justify it by saying it would "ruin the magic and the show". That just seemed weak to me because I honestly can't see how someone would accidentally stumble onto this thread and then say, "OMG!! Are those BACKSTAGE PICTURES?? Why wasn't the thread title more clear?? Why was the title, 'Backstage Area Pics' so vague?? Now the magic is ruined for me!!!" :hammer:

In my opinion, this should not be posted. Very bad show.

Could not agree more!!! I have pics of a bunch of backstage areas even some great ones of HM during the HMH change over that I share with my friends and to show off every now and then, but it is bad show unless you know what you are looking at and understand it all.

Plus it is one of the coolest things about being a CM.

Incorrect. They can not take your camera or film. That would be theft. I doubt Disney would risk a law suit over someone taking pics. especially when there are sites like THIS and many others out there.

I think taking AND posting pics like this is a great idea. For TRUE Disney fans that not only like to see the magic, but like to see how it's created.
