Hi:
I heard they felt it might offend Japanese visitors.
Although I was not living here at the time, I happened to be in the Orlando area when the plane was flown in. I remember a few sketchy details about it. One of the main roads had to be closed. Either I-4 or one of the roads on Disney property. The plane landed on the road, and was then hauled to the park.Originally posted by jay_london
In the back lot tour is Walt's plane, which he used whilst flying over florida looking at the land. Did that plane ever fly in to wdw on the air strip or was it transported to WDW in bits and reassembled

tocpE SE said:I just went on the BL Tour yesterday, and I have to say if I had any more Pearl Harbor / Michael Bay brilliance propoganda shoved down my throat I would probably die..... Michael Bay is a no talent hack and PH was just an awful awful movie. Don't theme the ride to any specific movie, just keep it about all movies in general..... Between all that and all the stuff they cut out the Backlot Tour is a waste of time now..... said my friend who was riding it for the first time, "That's it? That was a waste of damned time".
