A possibility is that he doesn't want to deal with the emotions of bailing on Black Widow...
Bingo. I absolutely loved this movies use of trailers. At least, the two main ones.I suppose they could have done some things in the trailer to "throw us off" the actual plot?
- VERY Interesting that there's a scene in the trailer that DIDN'T happen in the movie, because we see Cap and several Avengers, including the Hulk running, but we know the Hulk didn't come out...so I really wonder WHEN that changed in production.
I would think that a anyone who was dusted has s good possibility of being saved I. The next film. You don’t get rid of Spider-man, Peter Quil and Black Panther like that. They are the headliners of franchises. Also we will see Nick in Captain Marvel next year. Well 1990s Nick Fury.Very disappointed. I thought it was overhyped and lacking in story and action. Said no one ever.
Seriously though I LOVED it! Might be going back for a second viewing tomorrow, but if not surely by this time next weekend. One thought however. After the end credits scene, I am convinced that many of the deaths in this movie are characters that will most certainly return. Why would they kill off such a important character in the post credits scene? Yes it worked to introduce Thanos in post credits of previous Avenger movies because, whether you missed it or not, you would still know of him by the time Inf. War came out. But to kill off someone like Fury in post credits, as his final scene in the cinematic universe, I don't think so. I am keeping optimistic that he and others will be back.
I hope you are wrong about that. He was always a entertaining character to watch.
Something else I noticed last night while leaving the theater. The audience, the entire audience was as pumped as I was, and seemed ready to turn around and watch it all over again. Back in December when leaving the same theater after TLJ's opening, it was very different. There were some who seemed happy, others disappointed, and others ANGRY. But not Infinity War last night. Everyone seemed so electric and eager for what happens next. I'll admit the wait until Av4 is going to be antagonizing.
I don’t think I could handle Iron Man dying. When I thought he was, it tore me up more than any other part.
I also went to ADH for all those movies s s there wasn’t a huge amount of noise but there was laughing and gasps. A few people clapped when Cap first showed up on the train platform. Most people were in Marvel gear. Definitely big fans. There was no talking as people left the theater as they had posted signs everywhere saying not to discuss the movie in the theater building. The best crowd I was ever in at ADH or anywhere was the women’s only showing of Wonder Woman. Great energy, appreciate clapping and cheering. We went to Alamo Drafthouse for TLJ, our first time. They really push, "no talking or you will get kicked out." During TLJ the theater was so quiet, no usual cheering when the OT characters appeared for the first time, no clapping for credits, and silence as we were walking out. I wondered if it was because of the rules, or if people were like me...very unhappy. We went back for Black Panther, but it was after it had been out for awhile and there were only a few people in the theater. Yesterday, we went back for the 3rd time for Avengers and the audience was really into it. Laughing, clapping, etc. And almost everyone stayed for the post-credit scene. The most I've ever seen. So not only did I get the sense that people really enjoyed Infinity War, but that they really must not have liked TLJ.
But when the GOTG show up nothing is there. Where did half a ship go?Regarding the Asgardians my brother told me today that some people have noticed if you pay close attention the ship is actually cut in half or something.
We can only hope.I don't think Tony will die. Even though I strongly believe Steve is a goner. Tony invited Wong and the Guardians to the wedding. So I am optimistic the wedding will happen. The baby dream is real. Tony will give up the suit to take care of his family. But he'll be around to hand out new tech, as a cameo, whenever RDJ feels like it.
That I can handle and it would be fitting. Killing him off, though...NO! He deserves the happy ending. I hope you are right!I don't think Tony will die.
