Actually thinking back to the end of the movie I think they may need to remake the Gauntlet as at the end it looks destroyed yet the Stones were fine.

So, this is the first Marvel movie that I haven't read every article on before release because I wanted to be genuinely surprised. Growing up on comics, I "knew" how it was going to end (especially with the trailers mentioning "a snap of his finger") but I can't believe how much better it turned out to be!

Spoiler for the original series, after Thanos wipes out half the universe, the remaining heroes mount an assault on him and fail with the Silver Surfer being their ace in the hole. I could see this happening in A4, seeing as some of the heroes who are currently alive are seen on set in older uniforms/costumes (meaning they could be in the soul gem). We will see in a year!

My thoughts on it:

-Since Valkyrie wasn't in it, I assume she took the other half of Asgardians and high tailed it. Thor mentioning that half of his people are gone leads me to believe this. I also don't truly believe that Loki is dead. He's pulled this stunt before, but it would say something about Thanos if he didn't see through the deception.

-This movie absolutely did not feel two and a half hours long nor did it feel bloated. Every scene felt like it counted and wasn't a throwaway.

-If I had one complaint, it would be Thanos' fluctuating power levels throughout the movie. In the beginning, he has taken out Thor and "toys' with the Hulk before beating the snot out of him. And that was when he only had one gem! When Iron Man and Co. tackle him on Titan, I kept waiting for him to be like fun's over and lay the smackdown. Instead, they actually held their own (I think he had 3 gems at that point?). Anyway, just something I noticed.

-Minor thoughts: Hulk was definitely scared to come out after he got the snot beat out of him at the start. I agree that Dr. Strange saw the only possible victorious scenario was having Tony alive. I was surprised that Rocket was the only Guardian left alive at the end. Vision will definitely be back as I'm sure Shuri saved her scans and will finish them in A4. I was very happy when Ebony Maw's creepy butt got sucked out into space.

I can't believe we have to wait a year! If rumors are true, we might see some unexpected cameos in the next one. I'm hoping for Quicksilver, but we will see.

I doubt we will see any character not already seen except Captain Marvel. The Fox deal isn't finished and if Sony was playing ball with any character they own besides Spiderman it would be everywhere.

Oh, I agree. I didn't mean any X-Men or Fantastic Four. I was thinking more dead heroes like Quicksilver (since he was supposedly spotted on set) or even someone new like Nova since Xandar was destroyed.

Also of note Greg Clarke was apparently also spotted on set of the Avengers shoot, he may just have been visiting but I think after the events of IW he may be the only person that could keep everyone together, kind of how Fury used his "Death" to keep the team together and it would be nice for a reunion for the original Avengers and the Son of Coul :p

Speaking of Coulson- I haven’t watched Shield in a year and a half, but I am really curious to see if they address Infinity War, or if the team is just incredibly lucky to have no members turn to ash

It all depends, the end of this current season has been written as the end of the show as it has not been renewed as of yet, it could be possible that the show ends with them all turning to ash and the final episode is also called The End. They have addressed all the other movies that have affected them so we will have to see.

Side note you should really watch last season and this one as they have been excellent ! Bit behind here in the UK on the current season as we started quite a bit later then the US.

I liked the Ghost Rider portion, but then got busy and forgot to watch the rest of the season, whoops lol

I honestly thought Thanos was going to kill her after Gamora revealed the location of the Soul Stone, so I was pretty shocked to see her make it out of this movie alive.

I’m interested in the Nebula/Tony pairing we’ll get
That’s sure to be interesting. I’m assuming they’ll be taking the Milano to Earth. Maybe we’ll even get an exchange like between Rocket and Thor. Chris Hemsworth really nailed that one.

Because there were sooooo many characters in this, I think these could be considered the leads:
  • Thanos
  • Iron Man
  • Thor
  • Gamora
  • Strange
  • Wanda/Vision (it’s hard for me to separate them since they spent almost all of their scenes together)
  • Peter Quill
I thought about including Peter Parker, but he mostly supports Tony in this film

Ya'll. I'm still shook and hurt about Peter Parker's death. Like that hit me like a train. I went into the movie thinking he would be fine, along with Black Panther...so yeah. I'll be honest. I cried when they died...or voldemorted...whatever it was.

At the same time, this film was genius. Fantastic. Best Marvel film.

In last night's episode, one of the characters (not the main cast) asked Daisy if she "had been watching the TV. All the weird stuff happening in New York." We assume that is referring to the events in the first part of Infinity War when Thanos' people attacked.

So I think it will affect Shield, if the show has another season. I think in the final few minutes of the season, after they have resolved the current Shield arc, some of the team will dissolve, just like the movie. It would allow an "out" for any cast members that want to move on before the show ends, work on side project, etc. (I really doubt they'll get two more seasons). And we can assume that when Avengers 4 gets fixed, they'll get fixed too. Next year, maybe they can find some clue or item that helps the remaining Avengers win, to not make that season meaningless once the reset happens.
