Avengers Infinity War SPOILER Filled Thread

The whole Hawkeye & Ant-Man thing really forced the question of why everyone was so dang secretive over whether or not they were in the movie. I’m not really sure why it was so hard to say “With the size of this cast, we felt it better to focus on Hawkeye & Ant-Man in Avengers 4 where they would have more time to shine.”
Boom, done.

I think people REALLY didn't know if they would be in the film. Evangeline Lilly said she had a very small part in 3 but it would be more in 4. I'm guessing, Hawkeye, Wasp and Ant-Man cameos were cut.

I think there’s reasons why Clint and Scott weren’t in Infinity War that could actually be spoilers for Ant-Man And The Wasp for Scott (I’m just guessing at this one) and Avengers 4 for Clint (I’m not sure how much I should say on this because I’ve seen filming spoilers and don’t want to ruin it for people who haven’t) but you’re right.

They could have just said there’s already 70 billion characters in this film so we’re going to focus on them in the next one and left it at that and that would have in no way have spoiled this one.

With Clint taking on the Ronin mantle for A4, I’m pretty sure his scene in this movie would have been a little too dark for Disney (watching his wife and children die)

So, we had some no-shows: Kraglin, Nakia, W'Kabi, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Wasp, Lady Sif, Valkyrie, Korg, Sharon Carter, Coulson.

We've gotten outside confirmation that Hawkeye and Capt. Marvel will be in 4.

We don't know the turn-to-dust fate of Shuri, Wong, or any of the no-shows (except for Hawkeye).
Didn’t she die in Ragnarok or only the other warriors?

Oh my goodness! You’re right! How could I have forgotten that? I loved that bit!

I also forgot “I’ll do you one better - why is Gamora?”, Rhodey bombing the cannon fodder along the shield border in Wakanda, “We have a Hulk” and “Why was she up there this whole time?”

This film is golden!
It would’ve totally killed the mood and not fit his character at all but if the camera cut to Doctor Strange using the Time Stone saying “when is Gamora” I would’ve lost it.

Throwing this in the negative pile- we never get a clear resolution about the Asgardian refugees. Who knows the half that survived may show up on Earth in Avengers 4 (led by Valkyrie), but the movie really made it seem like they all died.

It' seemed like they were letting half live but then they exploded the ship. Had the "survivors" been sent away already?

My daughter said "Mom, Black Panther made like a billion dollars they aren't killing him now. "

Due to filming timelines, I'm sure the decision about who would be around to fight in 4, and who would disappear was made a long time ago. But I wonder if Disney knew that Black Panther would be as successful as it is, if they would have changed who from that movie would disappear. Because now it's just too obvious of a 'tell' that a rewind is coming (not that having a time stone, doesn't do that already).

Even without Black Panther, you know something is happening. Dr. Stange, Spiderman, and all the Guardians (except Rocket) were wiped out and they ALL have announced sequels. In fact with Marvel's track record characters are more likely to get a sequel than not, only Hulk never got a direct sequel. But you could almost call Thor 3, Thor and Hulk.

Gotta say I'm loving the 'spoiler-free reviews' on Twitter right now - this is one of my favorites (some language NSFW).

And of course this:
