Avengers Infinity War SPOILER Filled Thread

I know Quill is getting a lot of hate right now for his actions, but I was sitting in the theater thinking that his actions make sense, if you look at his character’s journey. He watched his mother die, was kidnapped from Earth as a child, was raised by what were essentially space pirates, killed his father, and watched his adoptive dad die. He’s emotionally stunted at the age of a pre-teen boy, but it shows more in this film because for the first time in decades, Quill is actually with some other humans who, despite their snark, are a lot more mature.

Look at Guardians 1 & 2- Peter Quill wears his heart on his sleeve no matter what the situation is. That wasn’t necessarily going to change in a couple of years.

It's also how Tony reacted to Winter Soldier in Civil War, so there is some consistency there.

For that matter if Thor had taken Thanos' head, it also would have stopped.

They made a big deal of Tony only managing to draw a single drop of blood from Thanos (potential plot point for Avengers 4 with Ant-Man perhaps)

Was it me or was Peter's "Death" really drawn out compared to everyone else, most just turned almost instantly to ash but Peter was almost like he was fighting it.

I can't really see them just wiping out half of the Marvel Superheroes and then going oh but hey this person can take over the job instead (Miles or T'challa Sister etc) That would be a massive disservice to everything they have built over 10 years.

Ok, so being a HUGE marvel fan, I though almost immediately that that drop of blood could be connected to "the bullet," which would be a perfect way to bring The Punisher into the main MCU. As for the universe reset theory, the Living Tribunal is always an option.

Every kid that likes these heroes should see it imo, especially if their favorite hero is one that “dies.”

All this damn coddling has made people soft. I’ve been watching movies like Predator and playing Grand Theft Auto since I was around 8.
Yea, I let my 9yr old just get blind sided by it. He left the movie saying he didn't like it but I know he actually did. He was like, what just happened, they're all dead! Lol

Loved the film, but I find the whole ctl+z thing that’ll probably happen in the follow-up a bit disappointing. I expect Iron Man will be in the shower and it’ll be just a dream.

To integrate Captain Marvel (oh, Brie ❤️) in to the next Avengers, they’ll have to do a cracking job of fleshing our her character in her standalone as she doesn’t have the decade-long backstory of most of them for the casual fans.

I’d love there to be a twist in the Ant-Man film that shows part of this film from his perspective and that he is not actually in house-arrest, but actually hiding somewhere near to Thanos or that he has done something that could be game-changing.

mine are 7 and 9 and I did warn them that Marvel had said some of our favorite characters would die but even I was unprepared for the scale of deaths in this.
