No there isn’t. The only exceptions are Dumbo’s/Casey’s circus aesthetic and small world, as you stated, but the rest of the attractions and the land as a whole follow the Bavarian village/European aesthetic.
Yeah so Bavarian...😅

Europe is vast, man.

Baxter used some British/Tudor inspirations too...

This concept has been further developped in DLP for those intellectuals called Europeans with 6/7 different styles of architecture in their Fantasyland.

They did the same for AC with warehouses and tech props.

Pixar Pier would work if the Pixar rides were hidden behind unassuming Victorian boardwalk facades (and if it didn’t have such a corporate name).

The pattern with the best lands is a vague, but attractive, exterior settings, with tangentially related rides behind unassuming facades. The key that even without the rides, the area is pleasant to be in. No one enjoys being in a business park, regardless of how fun the rides are. AC is not the kind of place anyone would want to linger.

A little bit off topic from the Fantasyland tangent, but I was starting to think about how they could have done it differently. They should have built Avengers Tower (arguably the most iconic landmark from the film). ToT could have turned into the Oscorp Building (seriously, how did Guardians beat out Spidey for a drop tower? The concept of Spider-Man pulling the broken elevator shaft up with his web writes itself). They could have had the Dr Strange Sanctum.

Then I realized I was just describing New York City. It really is hard to set it anywhere else when NYC is the hub of everything in the major films.

I think it’s silly that they need to include all the Marvel stuff in its own land. Put an avengers ride on the Wharf, a Spiderman ride in San Francisco, an Ironman ride in Tomorrowland. Whatever, anything in Hollywoodland. Throw in a Guardians of the Galaxy ride in Galaxy’s Edge, because society needs to be reconditioned to not be so concerned about locations making perfect sense. 😈

You just proved it with these photos, so... Great.

There’s much cohesion in Fantasyland, but as I said, we’ll see once this opens.

It’s a pity they couldn’t build at DHS, where they could do just that (and it needs another land desperately).

The “single IP land” obsession is really limiting the creativity, and wasting a lot of valuable space. Even the most “sure hit” in Star Wars didn’t really work. Most people just care about the ride.

Spread it out. Make Mini-lands if you have to.

She said Bavarian/European Village aesthetic, which all of Fantasyland fits. I'm missing the part where she's wrong.

They’re all the rage since WWoHP. This is just as good as Hogsmeade, right? Hope they have their own version of Butterbeer since blue and green milk failed. Dye a butterscotch slushie green and call it Bruce’s Brew. Bam. Put it in a Hulk mug for $14.99.

I know it was an idea. My question is, why did Guardians of all things win out?

I think it may have been because they wanted to clone it at DHS (LOL look how that turned out).

Now you have Guardians tower that’s a weird fit, and a less than stellar shooter Spider-Man ride with none of his iconic adversaries (which are half the fun of the Spider-Man IP).

What a blunder.

The lack of any Spidey villains is an INSANE choice. I get that they didn’t want to be compared to IoA, so just pick one adversary. Screen based would work well with Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio continually altering reality. Could have been pretty cool.

As I’ve said, I think it is visually-appealing at night. But it is hardly Disneyland-caliber.

It’s hip, it’s now, it’s wow, and how!
I don't understand a lot of things about this land. I REALLY don't understand this building. What's with the graffitti wall? I don't understand its purpose for the theme of the building. In fact, when I look at that building, I see 4 competing themes: old brick warehouse, blue modern stuff, multi-colored graffiti art, Circuit City. I don't get it. Of course, I didn't get the Tower "makeover" either, so perhaps I'm just not the target audience here. 🤷‍♀️

I do hate to nitpick this stuff. I know a lot of people worked super hard on this. I just want to love it, and I don't. :(

I’m sure it will be explained in 8 Instagram posts by The Zach Riddley.

I know! Even if they didn’t want to use any of the villains in the Universal ride, there are plenty of iconic ones to still choose from. Vulture, Mysterio, Green Goblin, Sandman, Venom.

I love Spider-Man the character, but the villains are so incredibly important to that franchise. More-so than any other media franchise I can think of.

I believe it was said to pay tribute to Miles Morales because they want to be “more inclusive”. I’m not even joking, I think that’s what they said.

I like Miles, but wouldn’t it have been a bigger move to have him in the Spider-Man ride about shooting webs since he is a Spider-Man? Instead, they have some random kids you won’t remember from MCU movies to fill their diversity quota.
