What he was saying fully supports what insiders on this forum have said is happening. Which is why I shared it, when outsiders that are unrelated to ours start saying similar rumors, I think it helps back up/confirm what we've been hearing on here.

Can we always trust ole' Jim? No- of course not.

Should we listen to what he says as a rumor and see how it compares to other rumors? Yes, of course.

Jim Hill said on his most recent podcast that the Spider Man attraction being built will be a grounded ride system where each person is equipped with a Midway Mania type cannon where you can shoot Spidey's webbing to help Peter Parker restore order through the city.


So the shooter attraction that was rumored on here a little bit ago.

Will I ride it? Sure, the same way I ride TSMM. Will it be fun? Most likely. Is it the right decision or ambitious in any way? Nope

Well it depends if you think 3D is an upgrade. For me it doesn’t really do anything. I preferred Star Tours and Forbidden Journey without it.

3D is a gimmick relic from the late '00's, that's for all intents and purposes dead. The money spent to render and present an attraction in 3D- the more expensive projectors and the glasses, would be far better spent on just about anything else.

Agreed. Captain Eo is still the pinnacle of 3D

There are more than plenty (if not all) recent E tickets and overlays that I'm not a fan of.

I have all of the Disney/Pixar 3D releases. The Little Mermaid 3D release is a blast, because it looks like it was shot on the old multiplane camera.

Anyway, the next evolution of 3D is glasses-free 3D displays, which were demonstrated at the CES a few years ago, but had issues with viewing angles. When they crack it, I imagine Disney and the entire theme park industry will be all over it.

That's fine but the majority of the community at large are hypocrites. Oh course there are those that just hate most all things Disney does. It makes you wonder why they are here.
