Pinocchio is definitely the best Walt Disney animated film. None of the others come close- though I'm sure animators would want to give the top spot to Sleeping Beauty.
Having talked to a few animators, I was kind of shocked to learn they mostly consider Aladdin to be the peak of traditional Disney animation. The consistency in character design as well as the (largely) seamless CGI were major factors. The old timers seem to favor Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio however.

Aladdin!?! Great movie but you could find that animation quality on Disney Afternoons.

If it's a mild case, you're basically just being legit quarantined for a while. Being positive has it's levels and it does have a high recovery rate as long as it's mild. It's avoiding the spread to fragile folks is what's most important.
Even mild cases have turned into long hauls or eventually presented with more severe effects.

I will ask my introverted friends if they would honestly rather be alone, sick with corona, than be healthy and out with a friend.

I found that Anaheim sales tax is 7.75% so if you were to buy two robots, you would have to pay $172.37, if I did my math correctly (someone please fact check me on this... Im not good in math)

I wonder what the net profit margin is from one robot, anyone think it's over 50%? I wonder how much it costs to make one cuz they look kinda high tech but at the same time, looks like plastic with a small computer chip inside with lights

I love BVS for its entertainment, shopping and lovely theming. I love eating at the Pacific Wharf restaurants (some of the best in the entire resort). :)

Agreed on BVS and Pacific Wharf. And you know what I just realized I suddenly missed? Those crab louie salads they served in the bread bowls at the Boudin Cafe. Those were fantastic! I forgot I missed them until now.

I mention that because you know what intrigued me the most a year ago when we were all talking about Marvel Land? That Ant Man microbrewery place. I was hoping that finally, mercifully, Disneyland could create a really good cheeseburger and a really good side of fries; something worthy of an Umami Burger or that lamb burger they serve at The Haven in downtown Orange.

I was hoping that Ant Man place would be an upscale, well managed pub type environment like you'd actually find out in the real world in downtown Orange, or Laguna Beach, or Newport Beach. Disneyland's dining is certainly much better than Disney World's, but compared to the real world of sophisticated OC circa 2020 it is badly managed and spotty when it comes to food quality.

I am hoping the Ant Man microbrewery changes that.

My man, Thanksgiving was spent alone in my bedroom. The positive Covid test doesn't exactly make you popular at social gatherings!

Yes, Thanksgiving without taste is a bummer. But years from now when you're stuck at the table between squabbling cousins or a great aunt who won't stop talking about her pelvic condition, you can think back to that year you had Covid and got to quarantine from the whole family. 🤣

I had a weird head cold in February, and it made me feel blah for a week and I couldn't taste or smell but I chalked it up to being so congested. I really do think more and more that was Covid. Especially with the news today that the American Red Cross found blood samples taken in the Midwest from last December that were infected with Covid-19.

Communist China had busy hospitals in Wuhan in October, 2019 and they never said a word. The Communists in Beijing only admitted to Covid-19 in January when they couldn't deny it any longer, kind of like the Soviet Union with Chernobyl when those pesky radiation meters in evil capitalist Finland went off the charts a week after the explosion.

Here's my good news for you my friend, courtesy of the Science & Data: the official Surivability Rates per the CDC for Americans who catch Covid, broken down by age range. And almost everyone who dies has pre-existing health problems and co-morbidities.

CDC COVID-19 Survival Rates
  • Age 0-19 = 99.997%
  • Age 20-49 = 99.98%
  • Age 50-69 = 99.5%
  • Age 70-105 = 94.6%

You know, I've always liked to think of myself as one of the .02% :angelic: But I'm pleased to report that my taste and smell have been steadily returning over the last 2 or 3 days, morale has improved, and my 10 day quarantine ends tomorrow when I'll be returning to the workforce.

I like to look back on my experience with Covid as a time of growth. I swear, my waistline probably went up 2 inches. You'd think not being able to taste the food would be enough stop you from eating...

But speaking of Chernobyl, you absolutely must check out the Chernobyl mini series on HBO. An absolutely enthralling look at that whole debacle.

Yes, I watched that on HBO a while ago, and I really enjoyed it.

I remember Chernobyl vividly, that was when I was enthralled with the Soviet Union and their perestroika movement of the mid 80's. We all were kind of let down because the Soviets hid Chernobyl from everyone until the radiation monitors in capitalist Finland and Sweden started going haywire and they finally had to say something.

There was a real feeling on the political left in the USA in the 1980's that the Soviets were such good, kindhearted leaders who really wanted nothing but to spread love and free apartments to everyone. Then Chernobyl popped that bubble, at least for a few weeks before the left went back to blaming Ronald Reagan for everything again.

I still have the official booklet I got from Expo 86 at the Soviet Pavilion up in Vancouver that year. It was the very last World's Fair that the Soviet Union had a pavilion at before they collapsed a few years later. The 1980's were such a marvelously fun yet scary time, with some good music too.

If hopes were popes...
(I don't know where I was going with that. I guess we'd have a lot of popes.)

While I share in your hopefulness, the odds are against it. Perhaps somebody high up will take a special interest in this location and try to set it apart, but I fear it will just become another line in the food service spreadsheet. Same food, different wrapper.

But I would love to be pleasantly surprised.

PS: If an Umami Cheeseburger goes for $8.99, I wonder how much the equivalent would cost at AntBrew?

(Edit to fix Umami link.)

I think an umami burger is more in the $15 range so it would cost $45 at Disneyland.

Looks like they took down the construction walls and opened up the gates. Only to stop you at concession carts. Not much to see but here is some pics and a video of the area.
