Is the DCA spiderman ride still going to happen or will this suddenly transform into Antman (since they already have that template in HK),. or something else? That ride format would be relatively easy to switch it seems.
I suspect it'll move forward as is. They've set it up so that the theme park versions are not bound by what happens in the movies. So they can still use Spider-Man as they could any other character (minus the Uni/Marvel contract issues).

No, it's still going forward as Spider-Man. Might not have Tom Holland's voice. I don't know if it's in Disney's interest to reinforce the connection to Spidey's adventures as seen in the Avengers films or to move to a more generic SpiderMan.

Not bound, true, but they're hoping the casual movie fans don't notice any difference.

By the very fact that *Spoiler* Gamora died in Infinity War, but was still in GotG:MB I think they notice.

So I actually think they'll use Holland's voice. It'll just be stuck in time until they retheme or rebuild the ride to something else.

They already have Mission:Breakout which is tied to MCU Guardians, so that would be weird to have a mix like that along with a land precident already in place.... then a different universe Spider-Man. Not saying they won't, but it would be odd and really disjointed.

I could see them pivoting to a more general Avenger's ride and lessen the emphesis on Spider-man. Either way it'll be interesting to see unfold.

Well it hasn't been truly setup yet that Spidey is in the Avenger's in the MCU. Stark just gave him a battlefield anointing into the Avengers, *Spoiler*, but in Far from Home Fury was going to Berlin to suggest they make it official and Spidey turned it down.

So really they can move forward without involving Spidey at all in the Avengers coaster.

HaHaHaHaHa.... man, Disney cannot get out of from bungling their own a**.

No, it is not ideal now to have your ride be an advertisement for someone else's movie -- even with the merchandise potential. I think it wise that Disney now looks to another superhero to base the attraction off of. It will not be that big a deal "theming" wise, since Spider-man is not associated with any particular architectural style and the Imagineers resorted to a land consisting of a generic, futuristic manufacturing plant look that would fit basically any one of Marvel's umpteen superheroes.

The color scheme is red/blue which could easily be changed to the red/gold of Iron Man if necessary, assuming they don't care that Iron Man is deceased. Captain America works as well. The action is now shield throwing rather than the web-shooting hand motion they were going for. The attraction is screen-based so no real problems changing stuff there...

I would like to submit that the smartest thing would be to build Mickey's Runaway Railway here at this location.

GotG:MB takes place before Infinity War - it has Baby Groot, not Teen Groot.
Exactly my point, its suspended in time and doesn't change. Its not affected by what happens in the movies. The same will be with the Spider-Man attraction. They can set it also before Infinity War and just live it suspended in time.

I don’t think the time setting is the problem...

I'm not sure what you mean in the context of the conversation we're talking about.

But ok, what is the problem?
What does it matter if the ride is set before or after Infinity War? Spider-Man’s not part of the MCU at all now. Makes no sense to create a ride about a character that doesn’t exist anymore if the goal is to be relevant and promote current products.

It does matter actually because its not like he is ripped out of the MCU and erased from MCU history. He is still in the MCU today, its just going forward he won't be in future movies. Unless of course a deal is reached in the future, which it might be.

So they can continue to use him the promote MCU in the parks.
