Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

I think if you have the screen be the background of whatever the AA is doing with practical sets in the foreground that would blending seamlessly.

People like to use IOA Spider-Man as a basis, and it has practical sets (and I think a couple simple AAs in the form of tanks and other vehicles) in the foreground blending with the screens in the background.

So I think it could be a step (or huge leap depending on how you look at it) from that with some real AAs.

Right that’s what I was saying. The AA would definitely work with screens with background stuff. Not so sure about coexisting with screens with other characters and action.

Him swinging around could be cool. Still concerned about how the AAs might blend with such a screen focused attraction. Do we have any examples of a huge screen heavy/ screen focused attractions coexisting with large AAs? I’m not sure you can actually do both at the same time without stellar execution. I think the large AAs may need to be in scenes that are not screen focused. They can work with a background screen. Not so sure they’d work with a screen with a bunch of characters behind them. The AA can potentially make the characters on screen seem less real.

Not that he’s large and he’s off to the side but Star Tours does it but you’re so focused on the windshield. It also just works in the context of the cockpit and the screen being the windshield.
Harry Potter and the battle at the ministry at epic universe could possibly be a comparison.

Yup and in a few months when Monsters closes we’ll be down to two whole queues that have any sort of indoor themed queue at all. Webslingers and Mission Breakout. All the themed indoor queues will be in Avengers Campus.

Sorry but im not counting Soarin or Mermaid.
Ehh, I feel like Luigi's should count.

Nah that’s just an indoor/ outdoor loading area.
I'm talking about this part of the standby queue that goes inside this building -

Oh haha nah. I’d count Soarin before I count that.
If you want to get technical then, except the outdoor parts, both RSR and Soarin have themed indoor parts of their queues.

So if you're counting Monsters with its outdoor/indoor queue, then so should both RSR and Soarin for at least .5 each. Especially since both RSR and Soarin's indoor portions are bigger than both Monsters and Luigi's.

Lol, well you're not sticking by your own rules then. Because Monster's and Soarin' for example have the same basic queue setup. Starting outdoor portion before heading indoors into a themed queue, even if its light theming. Heck for that matter you're counting MB and Webslingers which also has the same starting outdoors before heading into a themed indoor queue setup.

So if you're going to play this game at least make it consistent. ;)

I would say that most of the major attractions have this same outdoor/indoor themed queue setup in DCA.

Those were the two that would have more grandeur in AA form so would agree.

The only other one, which is less likely in my opinion, is Ant-Man based on this concept art -

Is it just me, or does Iron Man in this piece of concept art look like he could be an animatronic that interacts with the screen? Just the way he's standing on the rock, wonder if there's a chance they'll have some characters like that?

Seeing the footprint of the structure so far makes me think there may be room behind Mission Breakout for an indoor themed coaster (something DCA desperately needs). They could also put a substantial Backstage/Operations building in the corner, and even if it can be seen from inside Avenger's Campus, if it looks modern and has a few thematic details (scaled-down vehicle on roof?), it could add to the expansive skyline depicted in the concept art.

Isn't there some provision in the zoning changes for DisneylandForward that any tall building on the Harbor side has to be set back a bunch from Harbor and any building that butts up against Harbor must also be camouflaged by trees and such? I doubt you're getting 7-8 story tall trees or at least enough of them to camouflage those buildings you're suggesting. So this is probably a no go. Its probably why they also set the Avengers and Stark buildings back so far into the property rather than closer to Harbor.
