Reasons why we won’t be getting the Quicksilver from Fox’s X-Men series:

1. Disney hasn’t bought Fox yet
2. The Quicksilver from the X-Men franchise is a character from the 1970s & 80s and would probably be in his 50s/60s if he showed up in a present day storyline.

The AV Club has a story on that Gwyneth interview, and they're guessing that Avengers 4 will have a pretty significant time jump (if Pepper & Tony have a baby, plus the time needed for Cassie to turn 16 and for Hawkeye to go Ronin). Throw in time travel, and the stakes are definitely higher (if Tony & Pepper have a child in this version of the future, how do they know the child will still exist if time travel happens).

Get ready everyone, it's looking pretty wibbly wobbly, timey wimey.
