Here's some early info for my upcoming project.

The two major rides that will be in the park (several rides in all) will be Avatar: Battle For Pandora and Banshee Rider.

Avatar Theme Park:

The new Avatar park will be based mostly off of James Cameron's world created for the hit film. The park will let guests travel to Pandora, get face to face with amazing creatures, meet the locals, battle an evil corporation, and soar through the skies. The park's landmark piece is Hometree, a gigantic tree into the center of the park which sits in front of the park's main ride. The surrounding areas are either the forest or an RDA compound.

Attractions/Shows:
Avatar: The Battle For Pandora
Banshee Riders
Na'vi Ceremony
Pandora Forest Trails
Water River Expedition

Avatar: The Battle For Pandora:

Description:
Battle for Pandora is the highlight attraction at the Avatar theme park. The attraction is dark ride experience, with the vehicles suspended with a mechanical arm allowing to carry it through all of the show scenes. The story is a continuation of the film, carrying on where it left off.

Exterior:
The front of the entrance is located right next to the massive Hometree. The entire exterior is blocked by smaller trees with a few trees on the roof of the hidden showbuilding.

Queue:
As you enter the building, you find yourself in a large forest at night. All of the surroundings are illuminated with Bioluminescence. Alien trees glow multiple colors. Above guests heads are sounds of (unseen) creatures swinging and flying above. Small firefly-like creatures are seen far off in the distance. As you pass through several switchbacks, you end up entering an RDA facility. Small switchbacks take you through the tunnels of the facility until you enter the medical facility. Inside massive tubes are Avatar bodies floating.
After passing through the medical facility you enter the control center for the pre-show. Massive screens show you a brief video from an RDA executive, telling you that your group of tourists have been chosen to take a tour of Pandora. He also briefly slips that you also need to grab a Kilo of Unobtanium from the new Hometree. He mentions that the last time the company tried to "borrow" unobtanium from the Na'vi, the natives were hostile and took the side of a traitor marine (Jake Sully). During this, certain scenes from the movie are shown to match his speech. After the pre-show ends you enter the loading dock where you board your "Raptor 5771 Hover ships".

Attraction:
The ships are lifted through darkness until you start flying over the night-time jungles of Pandora. Everything around the ride vehicle is illuminated. Animatronic creatures surround the vehicle as you dive through the trees. Soon the vehicle enters Hometree.
Animatronic (and projected) Na'vi surround the vehicle. The leader, Jake, tells everyone that they have been deceived by the company, and the corporation has already sent a group of militaristic airships to attack the tree. Soon, the tree is attacked as your ride vehicle zooms through tunnels. Real fire and smoke add to the list of special effects surrounding you.
Soon, the ride vehicle drops several feet and enters a battle between the Na'vi riding on the banshees and several RDA gunships. This battle is projected onto a massive IMAX screen. The vehicle also takes part in the battle, becoming a simulator thrill ride. Your vehicle helps battle and take out the massive gunships. After the gigantic battle, where your vehicle is knocked off course by a falling gunship, you make a brief crash landing where Jake and Neytiri thank you for your help. The vehicle returns to the loading station.

Is Avatar your favorite movie or something?

Anyway, these are good ideas, although I could see them as an add-on to DHS... or maybe it would even fit better in IoA...

IoA would be a perfect place, but I figured to use a bigger.

And yes, Avatar is my favorite movie so far.

You should maybe put in on Discovery Island. Althought I'd like there to be a LOST mini-park there, this would be pretty awesome. Who made Avatar, anyway? Like, the company?

20th Century Fox. (I know they also have Indy and Star Wars, so I'm wondering if Universal would be able to have it in the parks.)

Banshee Riders:

Description:
The main coaster at the park is Banshee Riders. Similar (in a way) to Dueling Dragons at IOA, Banshee riders features not two, but 3 different coaster tracks intertwining through the area.

Queue:
You enter the queue through the side of the mountain. As you walk through small caves, you pass waterfalls and detailed carvings in the rocks of the walls. The loading station is designed (using forced perspective) to look like it's miles above the ground.

Attraction:
Two of the coaster tracks represent the banshees. One is greenish blue, while another is mostly blue. The thrid track, however, represents the massive predator of the skies of Pandora. The track is orange-ish red. Each coaster car represent the track it's on, and has small details to represent the flying creatures. One unique thing about the attraction is the representation of the "Hallelujah Mountains". Massive "floating" mountain structures are suspended above and around each track of the coaster by hidden and camouflaged supports. Another thing about the coaster is the way it represents the movie. The tracks come close to each other to represent the attacking creatures battling it out. Other effects on the coaster are the use of fog and light effects.

Na'vi Ceremony:

Description:
Located in the 'Pandora Amphitheater' is the Na'vi Ceremony. The show is basically a massive styled show that acts out the film's events with the use of; narrative storytelling, interpretive dance, amazing stunts, and a large array of on stage effects. While following the film loosely, the show is designed as a stunt show in a way.

Actors playing humans and Na'vi battle it out in massive pyrotechnic displays on stage. Acrobatic dancers also add to the spectacles with fast paced dances and energetic movements that alone tell a story. Interpretive style dancing is used to also convey a story without any actual speaking.

The amphitheater is mostly covered to allow an array of beautiful projection effects surrounding the actors and audience. These effects range from brilliant star fields to impressive selections of colors that flow water-like on the walls of the theater.

The stage's sets range from highly detailed to fairly simple, allowing the audience to use their imagination while watching the show. Laser effects and mist screens also come into great use through-out the show. Costume design is also highly impressive, with great care taken to the detail and designs of each different character's costumes. Also, massive video screens are above audience's heads in parts of the auditorium where visibility of the stage is much harder than from the middle section. (the show is filmed live during each and every performance.)

I think that would be a great addition to the park and would fit in very well. "Avatar" really does have a strong enviromental message and could respond well with BG's themes.
