AVATAR land - the specifics

People have made it years through Mission: Space and Test Track, they should be fine ;).

I agree the acting is off though

I'm pretty sure those aren't the models Disney wants to emulate! (and this is significantly longer than original TT, anyway).

Speaking of the old TT pre-show - it always baffled me they hired a genuinely funny, respected comedian for the video and then didn't have him do anything amusing.

Here is a video from Attractions magazine. It has real queue audio instead of background music. Not that it matters much - a little more of the pre-show video (keystone species, etc).

Aw man, I really love the ferrofluid "creatures"!! And check out the way the preshow video seamlessly incorporates the camera feed of the guests.
This all looks fantastic, though I'd agree that the preshow acting might need to be replaced.

Those creatures are actually part of a science experiment, a Water Cleaning Colony. If you notice there is three tanks, one dirty, one slightly dirty, and the other one is clean. The Lab Desk is a bunch of experiments trying to clean the environment of Pandora.

I read a comment saying 'Splash Mountain is still better.' I really wonder if the expectation of people is every ride should be an e-ticket caliber. Look at Pooh at MK, it's a boxy car going through show sets that are stationary. At least Na'vi is filled on all directions with show pieces - not even Frozen did that...
