Avatar construction aerial updates

Yes it was OT but there is a subthread of 'Avatar 2 is a sure thing at the box office', My question is what happens to the LAND if the film bombs, Remember this is both a CEO vanity project which is designed to 'synergize' with the release of Avatar 2 (3?).

So in the event of a box office #FAIL what becomes of 'Pandora' are the rides cut back even further than they are today. It's well known I'm not a fan of this IP - but we REALLY do need something else in AK and I'm afraid if the film fails so does the land.
I disagree. This could be a scenario where the content of the theme park version surpasses the content of the [upcoming] film. The film version of Pandora really lends itself to a spectacularly themed environment.

Also, over the decades, James Cameron has proved to be a box office genius. I wouldn't bet against him.

Cars 2 bombed and it had zero effect on the land
the land will be 90% completed when the second movie comes out
but like i said this discussion is not really for this thread and it interrupts some very good discussion about the aerials

Anything is possible, but I do not really see the movies having an negative effect on the popularity of the land regardless of how they perform.

If the land has good attractions, immersive environments, quality restaurants, etc people will come. A good showing at the box office will help, but it will ultimately the success or failure of Pandora will come down to the quality of what they build.

Just look at Splash Mountain. It is one of the most popular attractions at MK and I would wager that most people on it have never see or even heard of Song of the South.

Agree with you I do @Master Yoda, I HOPE TWDC lets this project stand on it's own and does not cut back IF the movie does not do well.

Now lets get back to analyzing the photo. Any possibility that we could get a copy of the RAW image so we can take it apart on Photoshop????

Yeah, I would like to see some higher res closeups of the key areas.

So, given the what seems like the footprint for the two rides, there looks to be a lot of other room that can be used for other purposes. I hope that there will be a "walking trail" like other areas of the park, but in this case featuring AA animals or light up flora from Pandora. I also hope that they leave some some space (maybe in the southern and southeastern parts) which could be an expansion pad in the future for a third ride.

Clearly, I have no construction experience or knowledge, but my impression is that they were further than I thought they would be. It looks like the ground is graded and a considerable amount of footings are in. The construction site seems to be established too. Relative to what still needs to be built, I guess we are not very far along.
