Aurora and Snow White moving to new meet and greet locations on Sunday

While this may reduce wait times for some of the reasons stated, the biggest reason for this was economics. Economics is the root of everything.

In PFH there are multiple rooms on each side, so multiple "friends" are needed for each character. So when Aurora was with Anna and Elsa, they needed multiple "friends" of Aurora. By moving her to Main Street they only need one "friend." This save on the entertainment budget. It may seem minor, but they do this balancing act with entertainment dollars all the time. Don't believe me, ask the Ziti Sisters, who got booted when Anna & Elsa's meet and greet was extended at EPCOT and the budget item for them was transferred to Entertainment versus being funded initially by funds to promote the new movie.

Anna and Elsa are separate in the room now because the room has two spots to meet a princess, and for reasons stated above a "visiting" princess will not be in spot two. Therefore, Anna and Elsa are split in the room.

A byproduct is wait times should go down as the Anna and Elsa are not interacting with each other and now just with their visitor. Further by removing the Aurora there is not another interaction after Anna & Else that can possibly hold things up. For example, those getting autographs are now only getting two signatures in the room, not three. It seems like small amounts of time, but even 30 seconds saved per guest, over a whole day in multiple rooms, adds up to a good bit of time.

What's going on with Aurora now, though? Does anyone know what her schedule is? When is she meeting?

Right, but do we know if Aurora is meeting in the morning or afternoon? I would imagine Snow White's schedule will stay the same.

Aurora is now meeting at Tour Guide Gardens on Main St at Magic Kingdom. She starts in the afternoon around 1:30pm and meets until around 8:000pm.

That's disappointing. I made a fp+ for our them for our Disney trip in August. My daughter loves the Frozen girls, but I was more excited to see Aurora.

While we were there late May/early June, I never saw it over 3 hours. And we checked frequently. We even saw it down to 90 minutes once.

The five hours I posted was because I was remembering a picture of a 500 - minute wait time from a month or two ago. I'm pretty sure we were there about the same time, but the only time I noticed it less than two hours was late at night, and then it was 90 minutes. I believe you though, since I admittedly didn't really keep up with it. I do think that by the time we got there the wait would have improved some due to them being available from park open to close, which was a new development that week or just before.

Yeah, I definitely saw those too. That's part of why I kept looking. We were in FL a lot and I kept expecting to see 5 hour wait times. Never did. On our first day, we saw 3 hour wait times during EMHs so I figured it would hop up there. But it stayed around 3.

On our last day at MK 06/03, the posted wait time was 90 minutes in the morning. I was shocked. But the lines was visibly shorter than it had been all week.

Apparently splitting the sisters is continuing a trend of brining wait times and costs down. But I don't think that alone is responsible for cutting wait times in half. 3 hours was typical when we were there and that was pre-split.

Oh I didn't mean to imply that splitting them up would definitely cut the wait time in half. Even if the girls are being limited to half the amount of time per group per princess to keep the line moving, there are always things that will slow down progress again and those things add up quickly. I was just hashing out my own thoughts. Like I said a minute ago, I think having them available more is helping as well, both with spreading out the urgency to jump in the standby queue and by adding more fp availability so standby demand decreases (at least a little).

But I'm definitely no expert.

With the popularity of Anna and Elsa, you'd think there would be rumors about them replacing a perfectly good attraction for more popularity!!! :hilarious:

.....

So just to clarify, one side of PFH is Cinderella and Rapunzel, the other side is Anna and Elsa, but for some reason they aren't standing next to each other for pictures? I fail to see how this is any better or worse? Is it just to better use the full room? There are two rooms per side, right? Is it possible that they could close down one side of the meet and greet and make it into 3 smaller rooms?

Surely it would be quicker still to have them meeting together. Less combined interaction and less photos being taken.

The increase in hours for Anna and Elsa and now Aurora out has made the wait manageable. There is no more extended queue set up past like 11am. Yesterday I saw the wait at 90. High but not insane.

Disney Food Blog's Instagram account posted a picture yesterday showing a wait time of 240 minutes. Of course, that might be an overestimate by the staff just in case.

I was at WDW from 6/4-6/10. At the 90 day fasptass plus mark, I was able to just barely get fastpasses for my wife and daughter to meet Elsa and Anna on the 10th. During the week the posted wait was as high as 300 mintues quite often. My wife noted that the fastpass queue was empty when they entered. I actually way over-budgeted the time we would need before our group re-constituted because I thought there would be some waiting in the fastpass line. My wife hung out for a bit after the meet and greet and noted the fastpass queue wasn't busy at all. Maybe, they'll split up and they'll have more fastpasses allocated and more Elsas and Annas for efficiency.

It sounds contradictory, but splitting them up speeds up the line and increases the time guests spends with A & E. How...lets say the average guest spent 2 minutes with A & E and 2 minutes (or slightly less) with Aurora. The fastest the line can move is one group of guests every 2 minutes (or 30 guests per hour per line). Now, take Aurora out and split up the girls. Because there is less interaction between the girls, each guest spends 1.5 minutes with each. A total of 3 minutes is now spent with the sisters (all be it individually), but the line moves every 1.5 minutes (or 40 guests per hour).

Also, is it possible that since there are not as many "friends" or Aurora needed for her new location that some of these friends might be assisting A & E instead?
