August 12-20

Tuesday August 12
8:30am flight from Boston
ME line was big. I think we waited about 30 minutes just to check in
Arrived at FQ and immediately fell in love with it. We grabbed lunch and hit the pool for awhile.
Met up with the rest of our group for dinner at Ohana and then some shopping at DTD.

Wednesday August 13
EMH @ AK. Did Safari, Kali, Tricertop Spin, Dinosaur, and Everest.
Left AK for DHS. Tried unsuccessfully to get FP for TSM and wait was 2 hours so we skipped it. We grabbed lunch and then hit Star Tours and Muppets. We then got a spot for the parade and it was so much fun. DS got to dance around with the Army men, he loved it. After parade we then went to Playhouse show before meeting back up with group for dinner.
Dinner at Hollywood & Vine, ToT (twice), some shopping and then Fantasmic.

While waiting for Dino. DS experienced a "magical moment" He didn't want to ride so we were sitting on the floor near the exit. A CM came by and asked if he's like to color a Dino picture. When he finished she gave him a little certificate for doing it.

Thursday August 14
Our original plan was to be at MK for opening and take a pool break around lunch. We got to MK around 9:30, rode POTC right away. Got FPs for Splash, rode BTMRR. A storm was brewing so we made a break for HM because we know Splash doesn't run if there's lightening. After HM we did IASW and then Phimharmagic. By now it's past our original pool break and still a bit rainy. We decide to stay at the park. We got a light lunch in tomorrwland, hit TTA, Monsters and Buzz. We then got FP for Pooh and let the kids run around the playground for awhile. Some of the adults went to Main street for shopping and we met back up for dinner at LTT. The baby was not a fan of the characters and every time they bent down near him he would scream. We started to just direct them away from the baby and 4yo got plenty of characer time. After dinner we went back to Splash (DS's favorite ride this trip) and then back to the pool. We had hoped to catch Spectromagic, but with out an afternoon break it was too much on the kids. We had a great night at the pool though and adults were plenty happy to hang with a few cocktails.

Friday August 15
We got up early so we could get to DHS for EMH and Toy Story Mania. My sister and boyfriend tried to run ahead and get us FPs, by the time we caught up with them they had waited about 15mns, the line hadn't moved and the return time had gone up by 2 hours. We got them out of line and just waited. The line area is alot of fun and it did go quick. Some of the adults then went to RNRC before we left for EPCOT.
Sister and BF ran ahead again for Soarin' FPs which for for a few hours later. We then went to Nemo and Crush. We were able to get another FP now so while we headed out with the boys, Sis and BF went for Test Track FPs. We went to the pool for a bit and then went back to EPCOT. We did Soarin' before Our dinner at LeCellier. The food was great, but the kids were quite bored. It was now about 8:30. We did TT and left before the mad rush of people headed for the bus.

Saturday August 16
This was our relax day. Slept in a bit, had breakfast and went to DTD. Got back to resort and had lunch. DH, DS, Sis & BF went to POR and rented boats for awhile, while I got the baby down for a nap. We had dinner at Cape May and then took our time heading to Contemporary for our Wishes Cruise. This was by far the highlight of our trip. It was so much fun and money well spent.

Sunday August 17
EPCOT! SSE, Imagination, MS and grabbed Test Tack FPs again. Took another pool/nap break. We had dinner at Coral Reef, which we were pleasantly surprised with. Tried to do TT again, but even the FP return line was long so we skipped it and went to Mexico for drinks and the ride. Now it's about 8:15 and we have to make the decision to stay for the show and explore a few more countries or leave. My sisters were on a Dirnk Around the World mission, so they stayed. My parents wanted to leave so we left with them and stopped at FQ bar for a couple drinks.

DS had another Magical Moment here. We were walking to Coral Reef and a CM came out of this little plant area just before it. She asked if he'd like to help her with a ladybug release. She told him all about lady bugs. Then took what looked like a test tube out and sprinkled the bugs onto his hand. She then guided his hand toward the plants and they all flew off. She gave him a certificate for helping her.

Monday August 18
We were supposed to go back to AK for the shows and trails in the morning. With the tropical storm coming, we decided to skip AK and go straight to MK. It was sunny and very hot. We went straight to Splash and it was broken, they weren't even allowing FPs at 10am. We took the train to Toontown and went through the houses and met some characters. DS and DH rode Barnstormer and then we had another pool break.
Went back late afternoon and was able to get Splash FP. Rode POTC before our Crystal Palace dinner (which was the 1 meal we were disappointed in). Then rode Splash and train again to Toontown where DS begged my sister to take him on Barnstormer. After that we got Mickey face painted on his cheek. Sisters wanted to ride Space Mountain and hit DHS for night EMH, my parents wanted to go back to resort, but we stayed to ride IASW and HM again. Before leaving.

Tuesday August 19
We were unsure what the storm was going to do to us today but just played it by ear. We slept in and went to MK around noon. We had fabulous day. There was hardly anyone there. It seemed like everyone stayed at their resort today. It was very cloudy and looked like the skies would open up at any time. It did rain a bit here and there, but nothing to worry us about and we didn't even break out the ponchos until after dinner. We did every ride in Fantasy Land (Dumbo was only 20 mns), then all the attractions in Tomorrow Land (excpet Carosel of Progress). Our dinner at CRT was great. The food was really good and the little show they do was so cute.

DS asked for a Magical Moment here. We came off on Peter Pan and were standing underneath the roof part while DH went to grab the stroller. A Magical Moment person came and grabed to kids coming off the ride to be Neverland Citizens and gave them some Pixie Dust. DS looke d alittle sad they hadn't picked him and before the man could walked away. DS took a step closer to him and asked very politely if he could please have some pixie dust too. It was so cute and I was so proud that he had asked politely. The man smiled and sprinkled some on his head.

Wednesday August 20
Our ME wasn't until 2:40pm so we got up, checked our bags and went off to DHS. It rained the whole morning, but we knew it was our last chance to do a few things. We got in line for TSM and just before where we would pick up our glasses the ride broke. We waited about 20 minutes and then left because we wanted to have breakfast at Hollywood & Vine for the kids. We went back to TSM after and it was still broken (now 11:30am). Great Movie ride was next, but once we got inside I needed to take the baby out of line to go to the bathroom. So I missed it but DS says it was great. He's a big Star Wars and Indiana Jones fan right now, so it was something we knew he's like. We had hoped to catch the "Indy" show but my sister, who used to be a CM there, said they don't so the whole show if it's raining. We decided to just leave. We checked the tip board on the way out and I don't remember anything being more than 30 mns (RNRC & ToT). We hung out at the FQ food court until it was time to leave.

I posted a meal/food review in the dining section if you want to know any more about the places we dined at. We had a great time and I so happy our extended families were able to come along with us.

How the heck did you remember everything you did down to the times!!! Did you take notes the whole time?
The times aren't exact :animwink: but rather to give general idea. I keep a vacation journal and took pieces from it when I wrot out the report.
