Traveling to WDW October 7-14, 2005!! I have a few questions...why do you skip these attractions?!?! Is it b/c you are too old or young for them...Please fill me in...Traveling with my daughter...23 months old...and husband..we are early 30's..!!

Thanks again..for all your wonderfull advice?!?!

There are many rides I just don't like. More like seen it, done that, not impressed. I am one of those people that will ride Space Mountain over and over, day after day. Some just pull me in and others don't. All rides are worth a try though for the first time.

If it were up to me, I would never miss anything. I love everything about Disney.
However, I do always skip the tea cups. The only ride at Disney that makes me sick. :)

while i love most of the rides, there are always a bunch that my family and i dont go on....some of them are just too boring. here are a select few:

Magic Kingdom:
Hall of Presidents - i just can't keep my eyes open in this. for me its a cool place to sit down and take a quick nap.
Tiki Room - i dont think i've ever had any interest in seeing this
swiss family treehouse - ok, i hope i'm not the only one who has had this experience, but when i first did this about 10 years ago i totally thought it was a ride. me and my sister get on the line and walk around and stuff, and the next thing we know we're going out the exit. we both thought it was a ride and all the treehouse stuff was just part of the queue. that was a huge disappointment
speedway - there are attractions like this at amusement parks all over the place....i just dont see anything cool about it, so i usually skip it

Epcot:
living seas - once again, too boring. now i like it b/c my sister had her wedding reception there last year, but before that i just didnt like it....maybe after it reopens i'll like it more
living with the land - oh man. i just hate this attraction with a passion. it doesnt interest me at all, it puts me to sleep, and my family always insists on going on it. ugh...

MGM studios:
sounds dangerous - this closed, right? the one time i did it i felt really gross afterwards b/c those headphones were all warm and stuff from the last person who had used it....that was enough for me, i never did it again

animal kingdom:
dinosaur - ok,i know this is like the best ride there or whatever, but it freaks me out too much. i had a really creepy experience on this a few years ago. i went on by myself, and coming out of the preshow room i was first in line and someone ended up in a car all by myself. NOT SMART. going on that ride completely alone was just too creepy...i think i had a flashback to a fear i had as a child that the animatronics on disney rides would try to hurt me....yes, i know how crazy that sounds, but i was a kid. :o yeah, so i wont go near that ride now :lookaroun

Our kids are 5 & 9, so we dont usually skip too much. We used to skip the riverboat, but when we went w/ Grandma she insisted we ride it and the kids fell in love with it. ( we have them right by the Arch on the Mississippi, so thats why we always skipped it). I personally skip the Tea Cups, Star Wars & Body Wars (hubby does those rides w/the kids, if he didn't it wouldn't be pretty).

Epcot-not much here we don't do at least once during a week long trip

MGM-depends on who we have w/us. If we have just our family of four we skip RNR

AK- variety of things depend on the line,

I anticipate much mocking with the following declaration. So be it, then:

All the folks who have skipped Playhouse Disney because they don't have kids should see it at least once. It's the type of show that manages to appeal to kids without being sappy or cloying. It's a lively little show with fun characters, a pleasant little distraction. Heck, stand in the back if you don't want to sit on the floor surrounded by 8-year-olds. I sat in on one performance and was pleasantly surprised at how well-done it was.

Mock away.

In four trips in 29 years, here are the attractions I've somehow missed every time:

MK:
Country Bear Jamboree
Astro Orbiters
Timekeeper
Tom Sawyer Island
The Riverboat
Every fireworks show (!)

Epcot:
American Adventure
Impressions de France
The shops of the UK, Morocco, and Norway

Disney Studios:
Fantasmic (!)

Note that I haven't intentionally skipped most of these...They just happen to fall by the wayside on most trips. I intend to try more of them this November...

Oh jeez, reading all these makes me depressed. The Conservation Station is a MUST when I go to AK. The rainforest sound rooms are my favorite part. I also don't understand how people could skip The Living Seas. And Astro Orbiter has become a new staple for me. EVERYONE should ride that at night. It's a new favorite.

Anyway. For me it's:

MAGIC KINGDOM

~ Cinderellabration - I'm kind of against all Forecourt stage shows.
~ Tiki Room - Only when I feel the urge.
~ Country Bear Jamboree - Am I the only one who can't understand what they're saying?!
~ Hall of Presidents - ...
~ Peter Pan - That line is WAY too long.
~ Dumbo - Astro Orbiter is so much better.

EPCOT

~ The three World Showcase movies - I don't have any motivation.
~ Honey I Shrunk the Audience - I hate this show.

MGM

I don't go here enough to have things I don't ride.

ANIMAL KINGDOM

~ Triceratop Spin - Astro Orbiter is WAY better.
~ Festival of the Lion King - I didn't find it that amazing.
~ Pocahontas and her Forest Friends - I haven't seen it yet.

MK:

Swiss Family Treehouse
Riverboat
Stitch (after one time, we will not be going on it again!)
Dumbo
Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Teacups

Epcot:
The Living Seas
American Adventure

MGM:
Great Movie Ride (not always, but it's not one we feel we just "have" to do)
Star Tours (same as above)

AK:
Triceritop Spin
Tarzan Rocks

All the ones listed above, I've been on except Aladdin. So, I don't hate them, but I don't feel like I have to do them everytime I'm at the World.

Different Strokes for different folks...

We try and do something new every trip, so there's not much we haven't done, but there are a lot of things we won't do again. That being said, we will do for the first time next month SGE, Soarin, and Extreme Motor Action.

People missing Flights of Wonder in AK are missing a good attraction.

There are a few attractions I'm not exactly super-excited to do, but I would never completely disregard anything in a Disney park.
I feel obligated to do as much as I can, as I paid for it all. Plus, I think you can surprise yourself with the little things you'll end up remembering about the trip. Sometimes moments will be produced at the oddest times, like in an attraction that nobody really had on the top of their must-see lists.
Most of all, if you haven't tried it, please do... Never rule something out before you have experienced it first, as your favorite ride could be a diamond in the rough.
