Attractions that you always skipped.

I'm a little confused why are people skipping the Hall of Presidents just because W is presidents? I'm not a fan of the hall because it's boring and I'm not a big fan of W's either, but don't people realize that he is always going to in that attraction? He is a part of history and will always be there.

Anyway....we always skip Tom Saywer, Stitches great escape, and swiss family, and at Epcot innvoventions, and the 360 movies
MGM sounds dangerous, and playhouse
AK kali river rapids

We always used to skip Universe of Energy but we tried it this time and were quite entertained by it.

I've never done the American Adventure at EPCOT. We did the Hall of Presidents in 2003, but the wife kept falling asleep because, as she says, I "drag her around" all over the place. LOL For some reason, we skipped that one in 2004, even though we spent 2 days at that park. Maybe it's because I didn't want to let her fall asleep in the happiest place on Earth.

You HAVE to do American Adventure!

Sleeping during HOP or AA is distinctly un-patriotic!

I've always found the Hall of Presidents boring. Its basically realistic human AA figures reciting a speech. There's no dynamic special effects or unique story telling or Magic. Now the American Adventure, on the other hand, is a whole different animal. I could watch that over and over.

I'm really really glad that i decided to try that one again after all these years. The last time that i saw it, it was a kid. Now that i'm an adult i have a completely different perspective on it.

I don't really care about being patriotic. But I'm not totally sure why I have always skipped the American Adventure. Probably for the same reason I have always skipped the China movie and the Canada one...sheer lack of interest.

However, it is my endeavor to catch all of these attractions on our next trip. With a whole week of nothing but Disney, I feel like we have more than enough time to do almost everything we haven't done before.

I agree. I'm no fan of George's either and I'm certainly not very pleased with the agenda and direction our country has been going under his leadership and before, so I'm not a very patriotic kind of guy right now. But Disney attractions are just that....amusements. Attractions at a theme park. I can enjoy them on their own merit whether or not I agree with the leaders depicted therein or whether or not I am patriotic. Just as I can't see how someone can harbor such animosity toward France that they boycott the French pavillion at EPCOT. Especially when you have Red China, which is a brutal, repressive regime and a potential military threat. Yet, presumably, the person who boycotts France has no problem enjoying the China pavillion. For the life of me, I don't see how anything France is doing can even come close to matching the evils of China's regime to the extent that France is worthy of boycott, but not China. :brick:

For the record, I don't boycott either pavillion at EPCOT, but if I were to do so, or encourage someone else to do so, I think China would be the one to boycott, not France.

I cant believe some of the things people listed :O

I usually dont intentionally skip something unless its something like a show ive seen a zillion times, or something for little kids like the playhouse disney show. There are things i dont get to but its because of time. The only things i really dont like but i do anyways are the american adventure and the hall of presidents, there not bad just ive seen them so many times but there a great escape from heat and rain.

I do not find Hall of Presidents boring, and I have seen the version with GWB; however, I do not wish to sit through a speech by a man who obviously does not know the meaning of what he's reading (or his policies and decisions would not be what they are) again. I love the rest of the show and regardless of who wins the election in 2008 I will go see it again, unless the new President giving the speech shows himself to be equally as backward as his predecessor.
You are right: he will always be in there, as will his father and Richard Nixon. However, after 2008, W. will be silent. Finally.

We always skip...

The Tea Cups
Hall of Presidents (at least until George W is out of office)
Dumbo
Magic Carpets
Kali River Rapids
Rock n' Roller Coaster

George W will still be at Hall of Presidents when he gets out of office...it's The "Hall of Presidents"

Whoops...guess someone else pointed that out!

In general, I'm not a big fan of stage shows at the parks. Although I've seen several, like Beauty and the Beast and Indy Jones Stunt Show, and even enjoyed a couple like Festival of the Lion King and Flights of Wonder, for some reason these days I just don't feel that for me they are a necessary part of my theme park experience. I do know that I tend to feel inconvenienced that I have to plan the other attractions around them so I can be sure to make a certain showtime (although I do confess that I will plan my schedule around "events" such as parades, Fantasmic, or any fireworks show, so go figure :veryconfu ).

I also skip;
Tomorrowland Indy
Teacups
Barnstormer
Astro Orbiter
Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Management
Flying Carpets
Body Wars
Triceratops Spin
It's Tough To Be A Bug

Actually, I like the audio animatronic version of "W" a lot better than the real version. He shows up at every appearance... no extended vacations to his "ranch" in Crawford, Texas. He's much more articulate than the actual president (i.e., no "Bushisms"). And not once during his speech does he use the terms "war on terror", "weapons of mass destruction" "dead or alive", or "bring it on"!

LOL! Plane Crazy, I love your post ;)

Once upon a time I used to focus only on the big ones...

...and then I had kids. And they discovered nothing is more fun than to ask Dad which ride he doesn't want to go on and then drag him to it to ride not once, not twice, but three times in a row; once with each daughter. So I now ride every ride and am happy to :king:

oh and Honey I Shrunk The Audience.

P.S.
I really like the Hall of Presidents even though I don't like the Bush administration, but I can only dream of this ride if Christopher Walken is elected (which won't happen).

I think I will always skip Typhoon Lagoon's Humunga Kowabunga from now on ;). That ride freaked me out! :p

I agree with the above poster about Honey I Shrunk the Audience... I didn't used to mind it until I saw the new pre-show (or at least I think it's new, because I don't remember this one back in 2004). That thing is so long that by the time we got into the threater, I wanted to get out.. LOL. What have they done to the poor preshow??? It had nothing to do with Honey I Shrunk the Audience!

I've skipped these in the past but would like to see sometime in the future:
Soarin' (new since last trip)
Everest (same thing)
Hall of Presidents
American Experience
Splash Mountain
Tom Sawyer Island
Mission Space (tame version)
Body Wars (always closed when we were at WDW, now gone 4 good)

I've done these in the past but won't likely do again:
Speedway (WAY too long a wait every stinkin' time)
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Indiana Jones Stunt Show
that Drew Carrey sound show @ MGM

Hell will freeze over before I get on:
Tower of Terror (my personal version of hell - death by dropping elevator)
