I just got back to check the thread before I went to bed. I am dead tired right now.

One thing I learned about using a digital camera to take a picture of a drawing is that it works best when you use marker. Originally, it was just in pencil and colored with colored pencil, so it blended together much nicer. But the pencil was too light to show up in the pic (as you can see by the parts that I didn't trace over with marker.) Actually, for this contest in particular, it would have been better if I used marker anyway. Markers seem to give more of an "iluminated" feel, like Spectromagic is. I also learned that I could just as easily color parts in with MS Paint. (But it shouldn't matter, I'm getting a scanner pretty dang soon....)
