These arn't really technical, but they're the clearest I've seen... [link]

Bertino
Fairly low quatlity, as most are pictures... you may find something you want here, though..[link]

Disney Modelers Club
A lot of good resources here...[link]

The Blue Print Collection
A bit hard to make anything out here... but, again, there may be something for you... [link]

If you tell me what your looking for, I have a few on my HD... I don't have too many, as I only save extreamly clear ones- not just scans or pics...

Anyways, I'm working on a website, which will be a place to upload Blueprints... so, hopefully it will become a massive database of Disney Blueprints, at full size (Yahoo shrinks them).

Well, I've been working to find people who want to help :)

Thats my next project- after DisneyInformer.com :) (Or maybe I may merge them :))

On a very loosely related subject, does anyone know of any downloadable SOP guides? I'm particularly interested in ToT's or Test Track's, but any other attraction would also be great.

Hey, does anyone know what program(s) you can use to make these architectural concepts? I'd like to know, b/c I'm interested in doing some of my own... Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, I know. I work in construction in engineering (not an engineer, but I spend a lot of time with architectural and engineering drawings) and I know from first-hand experience that architects and engineers get really out-of-sorts if they think you've reproduced their drawings without approval.

So??

Which means???

I'll tell you...
Disney will prosecute violaters to the full extend of the law...

Please explain...

Blueprints, or rather the information on them, are the sole property of the owner of the building or structure. Architects protect them like a mother hen until such time that the building officially is turned over to the owner. Many owners do not wish the building plans to be available to the public for various reasons: corporate security, etc. Generally, it's paranoia, in my opinion. However, Disney does sell the blueprints, I think. If I remember correctly, there was a gallery just inside the entrance to MK (on the left just as you go under the Main Street Station moving toward Cinderella's Castle) that sold framed blueprints and unframed prints of blueprints. Blueprints do make interesting art for your home. My wife and I have framed prints of The Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty and Grand Central Station. I plan to add some Disney Building in the near future. http://www.theblueprintcollection.com had some cool plot plans of the parks that we really liked. We might purchase one to be framed soon. Their prices are much more reasonable than the MK gallery's were.

WDW1971,

This isn't illegal is it? Have you purchased from them before? Do you know if the quality is good or is it xerox quality?

Just wondering ... Thanks!

The ones we have were purchased at reputable businesses. Garden Ridge for the Eiffel Tower and Michael's for the Grand Central Station. The one of the Statue came from a place on Ebay. They're all reproductions on heavy print paper. Very good quality. They aren't true "blue" prints, though. The ones that Disney sells in the park are similar in quality.

I thought they were public record that you could go down to the courthouse and get just like public records. I asked the guy that i get blueprint copies made at and he said he didnt think there was a problem with making copies of them. I just couldnt get them in blue like the originals cause they dont have the machine for it. I think it costs more too.

I really have to say this is a double edged sword, type of subject matter. I have a BA in architecture, so I have experience with floorplans. First, it really depends on what it is. I am sure there are restrictions on Disney plans. For that matter, I am sure that any theme park has tight restrictions on their plans due to the nature of competition (legal stuff). Yet, many floorplans are public infromation and with just cause you can attain plans of many things. In retrospect though, it is harder to get things after 9/11 and I have experienced some difficulty in getting some things I needed. In that case, what I do is go to Webshots and collect as many pictures people post online, print them out, and use the heights of normal things (people, stairs, etc) to gauge heights and distances. As for making copies, I had no trouble reproducing site plans of universities and city zoning WITH THE CONSENT of the person who dealt with the records. The one group that does have right to floorplans of any type is the fire department. The problems I have trouble with getting plans are of Talledega SuperSpeedway and Carnival Cruise ships. Also, Disney is their own city with their own building, zoning and fire department, so they report to themselves. For that case, i really do not believe they are more than willing to give the entire plan of the place away.

Probably the most used program would be AutoCAD which is by AutoDest. (I believe they're up to AutoCAD 2004 right now)

It's a very pricey program though...
