On my last visit to Disney-Studios we went on the backlot tour and I noticed when passing through the building towards the end of the tunnel there was a sign shaped like a rock that said "Atlantis the Lost Empire at Disney MGM-Studios" does anyone know anything about an Atlantis ride or show going into the studios?

there was an atlantic meet and greet when the movie first came out. You probably saw the backdrop from it. Now it's a lilo and stitch meet and greet

I would be SHOCKED if there was an Atlantis attraction or show going in...the movie bombed...and to be honest...it was horrible!

Visually stunning! but other than that...it was a flop.

Oh...and I don't think that they'd have something in view for a new attraction BEFORE they've announced anything.

I thought it was quite good, and fun. I really enjoyed atlantis. then again I am a major sci fi buff, I like star trek, star wars, Anything orsen wells. and in that snese the movie was good, kinda like jorney to the center of the earth. I don't know why people have to be mission critical about movies. no it wasn't a musical and it was un-expected but that didn't make the movie bad.

to each is own man...some people liked JIYI too...it's all in opinion...I myself didn't like Atlantis or Emperor's but I'm sure there are some people that did.

I liked Lilo & Stitch...I'm sure some people didn't like it...

Sorry, I didn't mean to criticize people who LIKED Atlantis on that last post :)

Oh, and I think that Atlantis DID have some cool parts to it that would make a good attraction.

ice age was really cute and funny. especially if you watch it with my 4 year old niece. I really liked it. it was just a basic cute and funny enjoyable movie. it seems to me that people today don't really like a movie unless it's based in reality or everything in the movie is explainable and has a ton of special effects. most people just don't want to use their imagination any more. :( for instance would the same reactions be had of older disney movies if they come out today, say like alice in wonderland, Fun and Fancy Free, The Rescuers, Dumbo, Bambi, icabod and mr. toad, etc. I don't think they would have had the same reaction if they were released today. technology changes, the outlook of the world has changed. if dumbo was released today they would say not to take your kids to see it because it portrays cruelty to animals in the circus or something to that effect. the times they are a changeing. I love each and every disney film. dumbo is one of my favorites. so please don't take me the wrong way. this is just my opinion. and why I love disney movies, old and new.

It was a Dreamworks release, if I remember correctly.

Yup that was what I ment, it was a funny movie but NOT Disney. Why is it almost all new movies that come out that people go see they think is Disney. But when no one goes to see it they know for a fact that it is Disney???? Your darned if you do and your darmed if you don't?

Actually, it was 20th Century Fox… The story was cute but even Dreamworks can do better 3D animation than that move had. :)
