Astro Orbiter testing today!

They were testing the astro orbiter today it was up and flying visible to all guests, even thought the rockets were still wrapped in strech wrap. It's new location seems very odd to me it is placed in front of the entrance to TL and blocks a lot of it. I have picks but can't post them till Wed when I get home.

With the rockets, I must say the new color looks amazing! so much better than the old colors.

That's the location Disneyland's Astro Orbiter has been in since 1998. Given the recent refurb, I'm not sure when they plan to move it back to it's original place above the old PeopleMover track. :(

Discoveryland is kinda where the AO came from, now they'll be different DLP's is all gold and DL's is now silver and colors. Hopefully they also fixed the plants to spin again as well as hopefully a nice new set of LED lights to illuminate it at night.

Astro Orbitor is suppose to re-open on June 12 or 13? one of those its not on DL.com
