It's new location seems very odd to me it is placed in front of the entrance to TL and blocks a lot of it.

I thought the AO was already in front of TL. What do you mean by its new location? Where was the old one?

It was originally atop the old Peoplemover tracks in the center of TL.

I have a friend who works for Standard Oil. The Chevron (Standard Oil of California) sponsorship of Autopia comes up for renewal in 2010. Don't quote me on this, but I have a hunch Disneyland is just counting the days until that sponsorship ends and then they will close Autopia and redo it into the electric version they have in Hong Kong Disneyland that is "Presented by Honda". With the hydrogen powered Honda Clarity on display in Tomorrowland, and cruising the freeways of California via Honda lease programs, it seems to me that Honda is very committed to their Disneyland sponsorship and clean car technology.

The new Magical! fireworks I saw on Friday night were also "Presented by Honda", and Grad Nite '09 is once again "Presented by Honda", so obviously the nice folks at Honda are happily continuing their Disneyland partnership. And it's far more succesful and promising than the old GM partnership that WDW still has, and that has a very cloudy future.

And besides, you meet the nicest people on a Honda!

As for the Astro Orbiter, I rode it on Friday afternoon. The ride looks fabulous, the new colors look even better in person even with the June Gloom, and the CM's working the ride did this cute thing where they saluted us as we took off and began spinning. :sohappy:
