Ash Wednesday Catholic Church Services

I will be traveling with my mother who will want to go to church on Ash Wednesday. Does anyone know if there is a resort that will do a church service on Ash Wednesday? I remember back in the '80's, the Polynesian did a church service and my mom was able to attend.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Catholic services on property have been discontinued.

The Mary, Queen of the Universe shrine is close by and supposedly heavily caters to tourists (never been, so it's just hearsay for me)...but you would need to rent a car or catch a cab to get there.

99.9% sure you're right on both accounts. It's been awhile since we've been there during a holiday mass season

And just keep in mind that Ash Wednesday is not a Holy Day of Obligation, so a Catholic does not need to go to Mass that day, even though most do.

Mom makes us attend church every weekend we're in WDW - Mary Queen Shrine of the Universe is about an 8 minute cab ride (or car ride) away from DTD, and should cost about $30+. We found a rental car for $30 per day so just got one of those and was a lot less stressful. SCARY A** cab drivers around Orlando - ready to take advantage of anyone at any moment.

FYI: Don't worry if you're late. They aren't a Parish Church - they're simply there for tourists, so the first 15 minutes of mass - it's begging for money. And the homily is also about begging for money. Just zone out and pray by yourself - I get less irritated that way. ;~)
