Artist Point, Wave, or Whispering Canyon?

Whispering Canyon is very different than the other 2. It is loud and very active and the food is BBQ and comfort food.

Personally, Artist Point is one of my favorites on property. Buffalo, when they have it is sooooooo yummy and the Mac N Cheese is amazing.

Artist Point gets my vote.

I have not eaten in the Wave, but as was said, Artist Point and the Wave are a different sort of restaurant than Whispering Canyon

I have a soft spot for Artist Point. Buffalo is very good, Cedar Planked Salmon (especially if they have Copper River Salmon in) is also very good.

I don't know if you have kids or not, but their kids meal is EXCELLENT. Really nicely done.

We LOVE Whispering Canyon! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so fun. Artist point is a little too gourmet for my tastes. You get the best of both worlds at Whispering Canyon.

I've eaten at all three. Each is very good in its own way.

The Wave has the single best entree I've had anywhere, braised lamb shank.

Artist Point is a wonderful Signature restaurant with excellent selections.

Whispering Canyon is more homey style food.

We've never been to Whispering Canyon, but everything I've heard makes me agree with everyone else - different kind of restaurant.

As for the other two, we have been to both and have strong feelings about them. We were in no way happy with The Wave at all. We had a terrible server that couldn't pay attention long enough to answer our questions, and neither of us could find anything that appealed to us on the menu. We tried, we were not impressed and we will not be going back.
Artist Point is on our regular rotation. They have taken a few things off of the menu that D really liked, but the buffalo is still there and that's good enough for him. As for me, the smoked portobello soup is enough to make me want to go back. :slurp:

Not old, just vintage.
I love The Wave. I think it is one of the most underrated restaurants on property. The food is excellent and I've always had great servers. The only part of the menu that is lacking is the desserts. Nothing there excites me but I'm okay with that. I'd rather skip dessert there and go have a much cheaper Dole Whip in the MK instead.

I'd rate these choices with Artist Point taking 1st, The Wave following closely 2nd and the Whispering Canyon a distant 3rd.

As many have stated already, the first two are in a different category type. Artist Point and The Wave you go to for the food, Whispering Canyon is more about the atmosphere.

You can't beat the Bison steak at Artist Point, and the soup is incredible as well. As for The Wave - one of the best steaks I've had on property. Better than Le Cellier.

I found the food at Whispering Canyon dull. I've ready many a review that praises WC, so I'll have to try again at some point. Maybe it was just an off night. But I left most of the food on the table.

3 very different restaurants, in my opinion. Whispering Canyon is the loud, kid oriented place on the list. If dining with children, it gets my vote.

Artists Point gets my vote for the fine dining option. Not a place I'd take young kids, personally but there are usually a few in there. Emphasis on "few." :lookaroun

Now, as for the Wave, I see people talking about the food but for me, the draw of the Wave is its screw top only wine bar. That's the place I choose for a couple glasses of wine with a tapas menu and a relaxing break before going on to the next thing. It is good to know it is also a legit dining option.

You can't go wrong with any of these choices. Have fun!

We love Whispering Canyon too! Now we've never eaten at Artist Pointe but ate at The Wave in Dec last year. One of our least favorite meals the whole trip.................
