Article on World Showcase restaurant refurbs

I really hope with all of these restaurant refurbs we might one day see the long rumored sit down American restaurant. America really needs a respectable restaurant to represent this country besides some fast food.
We've always thought so. Showcase the different foods of America : New England clam chowder, Philly Cheesesteaks, Chicago deepdish pizza, Alabama's fried green tomatoes, New Orlean's gumbo or jumbalaya(sp?), Tex-Mex., Maine lobster, Alaskan king crab, etc, etc. . The possibilities are endless. With WDW being such an international destination, it's a shame that our World Showcase Pavilion has "fast food" and all the other countries have a flavor (Americanized as it is) from their country.:ROFLOL:

Yeah for Tequila Bar!!! :sohappy:
Yeah to a bunch more seats at San Angel :sohappy:

I wonder what they are going to do at Chefs de France.. I love that place!

There are so many great places to eat at Epcot and MGM and not at MK or AK, though I hope that will change in the next few years.

Oh and BTW, American Food is already very well represented at the parks.. its called McDonalds :lookaroun j/k

I'm not really surprised that all America has is fast food. It is a perception of the culture. But it really is time...maybe some Disney exec. is checking the boards on this one... HELLO!!!! NOTICE US HERE!!!!

Tequila Bar:sohappy::D :slurp: :D :sohappy:
I'm guessing the area where they do glass blowing and kidcot. Although, putting it more in the center will keep it from getting crowded as you can walk around the pavilion with your shot and not have everyone in one cramped room.

More sushi :sohappy: :D :slurp: :D :sohappy:
It is about time. It has always amazed me that for the most part, you could only get California Rolls. Of course, I hope there are more selections for quick service sushi and not just for table service sushi.

BTW, I love the additions of food and wine booths on the promenade in Japan and China. I walked by the other day and thought how great to have the food available so close to the traffic patterns and to be able to use the F&W festival booths year round.

Wow. That's actually really cool. I caught the Chinese counter-service place the other day. It looks IMPRESSIVE.
