Given that Savannah Circle is a “road” within Animal Kingdom, it doesn’t look like the person made it
I amazes me that when you consider the number of people that attended WDW any given day that it doesn't happen more often. That is a grouping of people about the size of a moderate sized city. The heat, the activity, the stimulation all could combine to be a very bad situation.View attachment 286403

I was there when they began to close the area, a pregnant woman passed out and they tried to resitate her but I don't think it turned out well. I could see the parademics trying repeatedly to bring her back even as they put her on the stretcher and when she passed by me she looked pale and her lips were blue. I pray she made it. It was heartbreaking to watch. The area remained closed afterwards, im assuming they were doing an investigation.Anyone know why the area between Pandora (near the Starbucks) through the bridge to Africa is closed? Lots of management around, as well as OPD. Just curious!
Yeah we were there the last 8 days and it was never that kind of "Florida hot" that people think of. It rained more on that trip than I think I've ever seen and there was really only some of that crazy heat only a couple of days. That tropical depression has been messing with the weather pretty badly there it seems like. For the curious, the weather today was mild, on the cool side for this time of year, mostly cloudy with some light showers in the afternoon. Whatever happened, the weather probably played no part, it has not at all been of that opressive hot and humid kind.
Heartbreaking, these poor people.
