Are you a single rider?

How many people out there use the single rider line, even if your in a group?

Personally, I find the single rider wait times attractive but I have a real thing about sitting next to (or in-front / behind in the case of Space Mountain!) someone I know. If i sit next to a stranger the ride somehow isn't as fun so, for that reason, I never single ride.

What about the rest of you? Does the short wait appeal more than riding in a group? Is the short wait really that short?

Um....I go solo on my trips to the resort........Soooo....Yeaahhh I'm just gonna say yes. And it's not a big deal tho I tend to enjoy it anyway I can...I met about 8 different people when I rode Everest.

i usually do single rider line because i am usually down there by myself. it really isn't as much fun just by yourself but it beats waiting in line for so much longer. but if i was with a group i probably wouldnt do the single rider lines unless we wanted to ride one last ride before we left the park or something like that

I am also a single rider. My mom absolutely hates humidity and crowds; she has a great time exploring the hotels and restaurants but rarely goes into the parks.

Speaking of single rider lines, I've noticed that single rider lines become longer and longer each year because more people see them as an opportunity for a shorter wait. There is definitely a larger demand for single rider lines now, and there are a few rides that could really use a single rider line. Space Mountain, Mission Space (again), Tower of Terror, and Dinosaur come to mind. As a genuine single rider, it breaks my heart when I'm waiting in line and I see empty seats on these rides (because I could be filling them).

My family always does the single rider line for Test Track. It isn't our favorite ride and I can go without it. Every time we get a fastpass, we end up not able to use it as the ride will break down for hours. That happened to us at least twice if not more. Not worth wasting a fast pass on it anymore, IMHO.

My daughter and I visited IOA several years ago. The wait line for Spiderman was huge - so we became single riders. A bit worrying as she was only 12 or 13 at the time but I briefed her as to where I would be waiting and then we get placed in the same car only a row apart !!!

It saved us almost an hour by avoiding the regular line

Doing the single rider line, I think I waited less than 5 minutes to ride Everest in August. It would have been even shorted but for the people who were obviously together who where standing in line.

I like the single rider line. I've met lots of interesting people I probably would never have spoken to before.

When I'm with a group, the ride can be a little less fun, but we all still hung out in line anyway.

i used the single lines on my last 2 trips and found them really good and had a good old crack to whoever else was in line

I've never taken any solo trips, but my friends and I will use single rider on Splash when the line is long and we can't get a fastpass. I don't mind splitting up sometimes, the short wait is worth it!

Well, back in May groups of 2 to 4 were using the single rider line at Test Track. They were moving faster than the FastPass line.

I don't care who I sit next to; as long as I'm able to cut the line time in half if I choose to go alone. But I normally I have plenty of FP's so I rarely have to sit in the single riders line. I've noticed what most of the locals do: They use the single riders line, and wait in the corner for their other friends so they can cut the line ride in half and still ride together.

I like using the single rider line but sometimes it’s longer than otherwise should be with whole groups jumping. I use it when my girlfriend doesn't want to ride and i have no problem sitting next to someone i don't know.

I did have a very un-magical experience in the RNRC single rider line recently. My girlfriend sometimes doesn't like to ride the major thrill rides such as RNRC or MS but she will usually wait in line with me so we won’t get lonely so I can satisfy my adrenaline rush. Well anyway the FP line was backed up horribly so a whole family who didn't speak English jumped over into the Single riders line, which didn't bother me until we got to the holding area. All five of them went to the holding area before the studio room and then the CM said he had room for one more, well I was up next and didn't want to leave my girlfriend so I asked if she could come as well even if she wasn't riding and he refused. Causing her to become upset (even though we would have met up a minute later). So while watching my girlfriend tear up the Family of five turned around and held up the fast passes when they finally figured out what line they were in and the CM had them go to the back of the line. Now with five extra spots the CM didn’t let anymore people in the holding area. It bothered me that my girlfriend was upset, so I left the ride after recording room before I got to ride.

Wow, that's a really horrible experience, I'm sorry it happened but it makes sense that your problem was at RnRC. I don't understand why the people at RnRC are so strict about how many people can go through in the single rider line. Everyone's going to the same place eventually, so why does it matter if one extra person (especially one who isn't riding) enters the preshow?

The single rider line is very effective on Everest, decent at Test Track, bad at RnRC, and terrible at TSMM (no explanation needed). RnRC would be much more effective if they just let the singles go through to boarding instead of messing everyone up before the preshow.

I always do the single rider line at TT. I have a perfect track record of ending up next to a terrified child. :lookaroun I usually do my best to make sure he/she has fun on the ride and at the end, they always want to go again.
