Cool. Welcome to the debate! :)

Maybe they'll just sell doses of Dramamine at the gate.

lol

As for the centrefuge stuff, I wish I could understand your explanation, pheneix! (But yours is the most understandable, that I've head yet) I am not good with physics. :hammer: But I'm taking it this comming year in high school. Of course, by the time I learn about that stuff, I'll probably have gone on the ride already. :D

When you say you "tilt" one way, are you talking about the whole car tilting? Like, diagonally rather than horizontally, or vertically? sorry, Am I making any sence :veryconfu

I think its sorta like this...

When you spin in a centerfuge.. Everything is "forced" outward from the center. That is the pull you feel - to only one direction. Now, add a spin/central pivot... and you have the force coming equally from all directions, if you spin fast enough..

Eww..

Ok, I think I understand better now. Where would the "spin/central pivot" be applied?

Will the ride be set up with the people facing the center or the outside (arial view 1) or with the people facing forward? (arial view 2) sorry for the cruddy picture.

Neither am I. The whole time I was typing that post I was thinking, "Damn, I wish I knew the proper terms for all of this crap."

>>>When you say you "tilt" one way, are you talking about the whole car tilting?<<<

Yeah. Rob did a much better (shorter) job describing it than I can at the moment (you know, my last attempt at describing physics was so embarassing that I am considering taking a crash course on it {READ: pop in "physics" on a search engine and see what comes up} so I can at least make my posts on it readable).

>>>Eww..<<<

Maybe that is why the pods are supposedly being designed to be pressure washed at a moments notice.

Okay, this whole thread has made me feel pretty bad about myself. I know I have better things to do than sit and read all this bickering back and forth.

If I might skew the drift some, let me say this:

Some of my best memories are from WDW in the late 80s when the parks were open late, and if you closed the park at midnight it was nearly one by the time you caught the monorail or ferry back....

Sorry, Rob, but I am rather fond of the simplicity of the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks in MK.... No big story, no drama. Just a much better all-fireworks fireworks show (and a pixie, but you know what I mean). I think Illuminations is wonderful and dramatic, but there's a real romance to watching the fireworks over Cinderella Castle. I feel like a little girl again. :)

And if memory serves, don't some parades get cut when the park closes early, or am I imagining that?

Off-season has always meant shorter hours. Do I like it? No. Yes, fewer lines, yes, they can get me to go somewhere else to spend money.... blah blah blah.

Ticket prices HAVE well out-paced inflation.

And you know what? I leave for WDW tomorrow morning, and it makes me happy. :)

Sorry ya'll, I had to go back to the beginning to even remember what this post was about! Anyhow, is it an excellent value? No, not really. Will I be there again as soon as humanly possible? YES!!!!! I Love Disney!
