Are there any rides we'd be better off without?

YES. This thread exists to complain about stuff. No, it's not productive, but it lets people blow off steam, and I think that's needed every now and then.

Everyone has a ride or attraction that they think is a waste of time, or one that was refurbished into something less than the original.
My question is this: are there any rides that you think would be better off as just an empty building/area?
Keep in mind that these rides do suck in people, so the park is a bit less crowded for the rest of us...

I have three attractions I MIGHT want to get rid of. First, the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway, because it's loud and smelly:mad:. Also, the American Idol Experience. I had a bad experience at the 50's Prime Time Cafe, where a contestant was trying to drum up some votes while I was trying to have lunch.:fork: I could also do without the High School Musical parade. I find myself avoiding it as much as possible. I'm not a fan of loud crappy music...:hurl:

Anyone else want to blow off some steam?

So much land wasted. TL and FL could easily take over.

The only thing I can see removing and leaving it abandoned/not replacing is HSM's little show thing. I hate how that the thing is loud and makes the area around the BAH so crowded.

I think everything else should stay open until they have a replacement. No need for Disney to have more buildings/land sitting around mostly unused, they have plenty as it is.

I dont really care about the speedway but as far as High School Musical, it is kind of a waste of space and it crowds the street. It is also very pointless.
I would like to get rid of Ellens Energy Adventure, to long and very boring.

I'm ready to be lambasted here... HSM street show is just fine for the people who enjoy it. You'll only see it a few times a day, it helps to eat a little of a crowd for a while, and it makes the whole park seem a little more alive. I know there's a ton of HSM hate on these forums but there are much worse attractions that are a permanent problem.

My 'get rid of' list:

SGE
Circle of Life Theater
Backlot Tour (The backlot is dead. Time to move on.)
Chester & Hester

I think my point might have been a bit misconstrued...
How would YOU benefit from these rides being empty? I know you might not like them, but they at least suck up crowds. I'm saying that the ride you're getting rid of would be left vacant, with no replacement... for now at least. I suppose I can see why Dinorama would be better off gone, to some at least, but I don't know about Ellen's Energy Adventure and some others. It just seems that they at least eat up crowds.

You see I am with you guys on SGE, I have boycotted it since they got rid of AE. Im also there on Chester and Hester, I find it to be a waste of space.
I dont agree with the Backlot tour and Buzz. Buzz is a fun way to waste a bit of time on a hot day and the lines usually go quick because it is a rotating ride which doesnt usually stop and the backlot tour doesnt really waste space if you think about it so why close it.

Rides past there sell by date

Many rides especially over at the MK have had there day in the sun, such as speedway, snow white, jungle cruise, peter pan & swiss family tree house now I am not saying they should be trashed but a massive investment in undating these rides to bring them up to scratch for a new generation would need to be done before the rides simply become to old.
I am afaiad that its not only the stitch show should be changed but on my recent trip to WDW the worst "ride" we went on was Stitch,s great escape they have just rehashed the old alien encounter & its rubbish I would rather be nailed to a small world boat than :shrug:sit through that again.:hammer:

Taking that into consideration, the Backlot Tour definitely gets #1. Ever since LMA came along, its been decaying and decaying, so badly that having it there is embarassing to the point that having nothing there would be better. Indy Stunt Show doesn't really excite me anymore now that LMA is there.

Sounds Dangerous and Carousel of Progress (:lookaroun) also come to mind.

Disney World rides we could do without...

Stitch's Great Escape at Magic Kingdom. Scrap it now and put in something useful. It was the first thing we did last year with the kids (their first visit) and they were very disappointed. Luckily, Stitch sets the bar pretty low so every other attraction looks better!

Every attraction is someone's favorite. So, no. There are no attractions we would be better off without.

Next topic!

OK, I will give this a shot.

5. Sounds Dangerous - Was good then, now is not so impressive anymore. The post show's retro fun.
4. Pooh's Playful Spot - why is there no aqua related playground for readying the TLM attraction?
3. Playhouse Disney - Could be used for something more grand.
2. SGE - Rode it once, never came back again. It was that horrible.
1. HSM! - Needs to die a slow and painful death! And I am a teenager!
