Rumor Are the Simpsons moving from USF to DHS?

Although I don't think we've really seen IP-themed alcohol pushed in the Disney parks?

Duff, Pawtucket Patriot, etc. Usually our themed drinks are more subtle, dare I say classy (Safari Amber Ale for example). Oga's has SW-themed beers now that I think about it. It'd be a bold initiative, but DHS seems like the proper place for it if they were going to tap (no pun intended) into that revenue-stream

Could "Animation Courtyard" go bigger than just The Simpsons?

Lots of IP with long-standing popularity that can be mined from the adult animation Fox block. Most would also bring synergistic food & beverage options which carry margins that execs love:

Core:
The Simpsons
Family Guy
Bob's Burgers

Extension:
Futurama
King of the Hill
American Dad
I don't want FOX World...at all. I like most of those properties, but they don't belong in WDW.

Malaysia has a park already with 20th Century Fox and the defunct Blue Sky animation films and looks quite impressive..

I do find comments saying 'Simpsons don't belong in Disney' funny, since The Twilight Zone, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Avatar, Marvel, Barbie don't belong there either but all have/had a presence in the parks. Nothing is off the table and it's been that way since the 80s. People seem to forget Disney owned Touchstone, Miramax, Dimension Films and most of those movies churned out were certainly not on brand hence being released under a different name.

If Simpsons is coming to WDW, then I honestly see them getting put in Epcot, rather than the Studios. Wonders of Life building is sat right there, empty, shaped and coloured like Homer's head, name it the Springfield Pavilion, fits just as well as the 'Wonders of Xandar' next door. Has room for a simulator ride, a domed mock up of Springfield inside, much like in the movie, you can fit in a Moe's, Krusty Burger, a Kwik E Mart, Duff Brewery kiosk etc inside as well as a theatre and spaces for meet and greets. So easy.

It even appears in an episode..

I just don't like the theming of Simpsons. Not a fan of the current area at Universal and my mind just can't fathom it at Disney. I think Disney has plenty of other IP that would be more of a draw than Simpsons.

Simpsons is an Evergreen (Terrace) IP. Even if the current stuff isn't good or relevant today, the staying power of the first decade of the show gives it as much cultural relevance as any 30 year old movie that gets an attraction today. I truly believe if the Simpsons hadn't wore its welcome and ended with The Simpsons Movie, we all would consider it ripe for a new theme park adaptation.

But Simpsons has already been done in a theme park down the street... That alone should be a HUGE reason why NOT to do it... Besides, hearing there is a Simpsons attraction at Disney would not really drive attendance... No one considers it a Disney property...Whether they go it in a merger or not...

Seeing The Simpson’s in a Disney park would simply just be too jarring, IMO.
With the exception of maybe, possibly, Toontown at DLR.
But, even then, that seems like a pretty huge stretch.

if they're going to lean hard into making DHS the "non-Disney IP park", then I can't say I would complain much. If anything just to give DHS some coherent theme back.
I mean, that's basically what DHS has always been but it is especially now. Other than MMRR and some shows I struggle to think of any major attraction there that's based on a property that they didn't acquire/license. Though I imagine Pixar and Disney are under the same umbrella to most anymore, especially post-buyout.

Was Star Wars considered on brand in the 80s or was The Twilight Zone and Indiana Jones in the 90s?
Nope at the time theme park fans said they didn't fit either Walts vision for Tomorrowland, too scary in terms of TZ and too violent in terms of Indy.

The Simpsons fits perfectly into DHS also give me a Furturama overlay of Star Tours with Bender as the pilot.

I'd be fine with that for DHS, but not Disneyland as it's a bit too adult for a Magic Kingdom park.

I don't think Simpsons or Futurama is too adult for a Magic Kingdom park, not after Tron got added and DLR has Star Tours and Galaxy's Edge.

Like, the most iconic ride at Disney has a scene where there's a guy on a noose, but Homer or Bender is too far? Get outta here. That's about on par in my eyes.

I can understand these complaints about Alien taking over Stitch, but even then, I feel Alien with that pitch is Fine and can work in a MK-like Park.

Family Guy and American Dad feel like a step too much for the parks, but I'm sure Disney can somehow make Stan Smith's American Adventure in EPCOT or Stewie's Space Mountain for MK somehow and have all of us ready pitchforks.

I think people would expect Leela as the pilot, just because it’s a droid now doesn’t mean it needs to still be a robot character. A full AA bender in the queue would be cool though.
