Dinosaur and Soarin' have height minimums so definitley no on those.

Dumbo, PotC, Jungle Cruise and GMR are definitely ok.

Not sure on the others.

Someone else mentioned height on Dinosaur and Soarin. Of the rest, I'd say "yes" to Jungle Cruise and GMR. For the others, it depends on the kid. I haven't been on Energy in years, but my recollection is that it includes some dinosaurs in a setting that might be scary. My 3-year old niece was terrified on Dumbo because of the height, and Astro Orbiters is even worse on that score. But there are no height restrictions for either of them, so if your child can handle it I say go for it. Ditto for Aladdin, which is very much like Dumbo but with a much shorter line.

I'll agree with the folks who gave a no on Dinosaur and Soarin too! My 25 year old fiance can barely handle Dinosaur!

LOL :ROFLOL:I really want to go on Dinosaur- saw the YouTube vids and loved it, but I'm really happy they have the height requirement b/c I don't want to be even slightly tempted to chance it w/DD2 and DD4... they'd be having nightmares for WEEKS! So - rider swap for us so the kiddos stay as nightmare free as possible.

POC - The queue is much scarier than the ride. Keep in mind if you try it that you may end up taking the chicken exit.

Astro Orbitor - OK as long as spinning rides are OK.

Jungle Cruise - Sure.

Universe of Energy - Sure.

Dinosaur - Too loud, too scary. A co-worker took his kids to WDW and plopped them on this as their first ride. The 3 year old refused to go on any other rides the rest of the trip.

Great Movie Ride - Sure.

Dumbo - Sure.

Soarin - The second the kid is tall enough, go on it.

Be careful with GMR, though. The Aliens scene was pretty traumatic for our DD when she was little (at 6, she still closes her eyes when the Alien comes down from the ceiling)

I marked YES next to the ones above that I felt comfortable putting my DS on as a baby. Dinosaur has a height requirement so that is a definite NO!

I'm pretty much in agreement with Disneygirl1.

You have to keep in mind the "child wranglin'" aspect of some of these rides. 18 month olds are very opinionated and mobile, so if your little one decides that POC is too scary or too boring, or that they just want to jump in the water, you'll be in for a less than enjoyable ride. :( Same goes for AstroObiter. My DS was fearless and would have launched himself from the highest vehicle at 18 months. I would have had to wrestle him to keep him in the seat.

But you know your child best. If you think you can expect the best behavior out of them on these rides, then go for it!! I know you've mentioned in previous posts not wanting to be separated from your significant other on all of the rides, so I hope you get to enjoy as many as possible together!!!

I don't like astro orbiter, it's not the spinning so much b/c i like dumbo and simular rides, but the astro orbiter is a little more intense, i got a little motion sick on it and even felt as if i was going to fall out of it. (i'm a big wimp so I would say you should ride it first and then decide whether you'd want to take your child on it)

POC - really depends on the child, if they are ok with darkness should be ok, my son who went on it at 2 yrs old, got a little scared but was ok in the end.

Astro Orbitor - I haven't tried it with him, but only you really know your child.

Jungle Cruise - definitely, it's fun to watch the kids expressions when they see the "animals" they don't usually get the jokes and such anyway.

Universe of Energy - haven't been on it in years, probably yes though, although I hear it's long from some people

Dinosaur - NO, went on this and it scared me even.

Great Movie Ride - yes, you may have to cover ears and tell them close their eyes at the alien part, as my kids I had to do that with them.

Dumbo - my husband has taken my kids on similar rides and at 18 months my son hated it, he is ok with them now. My girls are just getting into these types of rides now at 2 1/2.

I agree with all the suggestions from others. There is a "warning" at the beginning of Universe of Energy about the length of the ride. Once the cars begin, there is not an exit. You may have to plan this ride for after nap time!

my daughter will be 2 in september and has been to wdw 4 times. all the rides on your list should be fine except for dinosaur. i believe there is a height requirement. a comment about UOE - i wouldn't advise it, while the dinosaur part might be amusing enough the rest of the show will likely be too boring.
we were last there in january and DDs favorites were small world, pooh, aladdin, and pirates.

enjoy your trip

Pretty much take your cutie on the rides that are slow moving and stay close to the ground and are not scarey. Have fun!!
