This seems to be quite a popular thing to do in this forum section. Since I enjoy seeing other people's choices so much I decided to throw mine up for discussion as well. ;) FYI, my wife (29) and I (28) are on the dining plan.

Thurs. (4/30) Arrival Day: Les Chefs de France for dinner @ 6
Fri. (5/1): Kona Cafe for breakfast @ 9:30. Paying cash
Sat. (5/2): Open Going to the La Noube show at 9PM
Sun. (5/3): Narcoossee's for dinner @ 8:25. 1 Year Anniversary Dinner
Mon. (5/4): Teppan Edo for dinner @ 5
Tues. (5/5): Spoodles for dinner @ 8
Wed. (5/6): Open
Thurs. (5/7) Departure Day

If you're doing your math correctly that leaves two sit-down DDP credits to fill. 'Ohana, Cape May, and Wolfgang Puck Cafe are on the short list to use them up so far.

Thoughts and opinions are welcome.

Be careful with Spoodles. It is closing shortly to be replaced. You may want to call Disney to see if it will still be open in early May.

Can reccomend Le Cellier, Captains Grill (Yacht Club) or Boma. Or if you want to do another signature meal Flying Fish Cafe or Yachtsman Steakhouse! You say it is popular to post meal plans but notice that we now have a diet for Disney thread! I for one need that thread :ROFLOL:

I hadn't heard anything about it closing. I assume since they let me make the ADR it will still be open. Thanks for the info.

We did Le Cellier and Boma back in 2006 and even though both are definitely worth revisiting we are trying to avoid repeats on this trip. A second signature meal on the other hand is sounding quite appealing though!

Change Les Chefs de France to the upstairs one, Bistro de Paris. If you don't have kids with you, it's a nice elegant experience, second only to Victoria and Albert's and I'm confident you will find the food fabulous there.

I don't believe Bistro de Paris is availble even as a signature dining experience on the DDP :(. Is the food really that different or it is just the atmosphere and service?

For your 5/2 dinner at DTD, I always enjoy Wolfgang Puck...also consider Raglan Road or Wolfgang Puck express....good WP food but faster and a bit cheaper.

For Wed. open day, California Grill, Artist Point, Yachtsman Steakhouse or Citrico's are very nice more adult venues. (was going to say Narcoossee's but you've got it covered)
Ohana food is good, but I find it noisy and possibly the least skilled wait staff.
If you haven't done it, consider Hoop de do Review...a Disney classic!

Bistro de Paris is superior both from menu and ambiance....but if I were going to spend that much, I'd probably do V&A's (a truly wonderful experience)

As for Spoodles:

A blog in the Orlando Sentinel last week leaked the info that Iron Chef Cat Cora was working with Walt Disney World on a new signature restaurant concept. Today, the story was confirmed. The new eatery, to be named Kouzzina (Greek for "kitchen"), is scheduled to open by fall 2009 in the space currently occupied by Spoodles on Disney's Boardwalk. The restaurant, which will feature Mediterranean cuisine and Chef Cora's philosophy to create simple yet sensational meals, will be owned and operated by Disney.

I would recommend either Bomo's or Yatchman Steakhouse as both are good.

We did Cape May this past year (not our first time) and weren't that impressed don't know if we are getting tired of it or what.

The night you do La Nouba you might want to try Ragland Road which isn't that bad, and I think they are on the dinning plan.

This has proven quite helpful. Thanks everyone who commented so far. I'm already adding two locations to my reserve list; Ragland Road and Artist Point.

One of the bloggers (I think?) over on Allears gave a really great review of Artist Point!

That just reminded me... If this trip is for your anniversary, be sure to mention that when making your ADR's. Not sure about Narcoossee's, but Artist Point usually does a little something special. As the entire visit is an "Anniversary celebration" I see no reason to limit your celebration to the one day. Also have them take note of it for your room reservation (and at check-in)

We have always enjoyed our meals at Artist Point. Salmon is outstanding as is the Buffalo/Bison.

I made sure to note that for my Narcoossee's ADR and I entered it every chance I could on our trip reservation. Check in will be the next to know. Thanks!

Congrats on your anniversary! My husband & I are going the week after you to celebrate ours. (A month early!)

You will love La Nouba. I have yet to talk to anyone who didn't think it was amazing. Kona Cafe is one of our favorites too. I haven't done it for breakfast, but I hear the Tonga Toast is to die for. We've done dinner & lunch there and it's always been great.

I can also recommend Ohana for dinner - it's so good, but it's an incredible amount of food. The atmosphere was great, we had a lot of fun and would go back for sure.

We overlap a few days with the OP so I thought I would share my ressies for my boyfriend and I for ideas but also since it's fun to talk about!

Sun 4/26 Rose & Crown (heard it's tasty and maybe will get a good fireworks seat?)
Mon 4/27 Crystal Palace (Pooh and Friends fanatic)
Tue 4/28 O'hana (have to eat here if staying at the Poly)
Wed 4/29 Mama Melrose (decided to go for Fantasmic package - haven't seen the show yet and wanted to cut down on wait time to see it)
Thu 4/30 Boma (loved it last year)
Fri 5/1 The Wave (why not try something new to many)
Sat 5/2 Le Cel (seems to be one of the most popular TS on the boards so I had to try it too!)
All of the above are for dinner. Prob also adding a Kona for breakfast so I can try Tonga Toast!

May I suggest Le Cellier (may be hard to get ressie at this point), Rose and Crown, and Yak and Yeti? :slurp::slurp: I also love Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare. Ohana and Boma are also great choices!! :slurp: You may be limited to availability at this point. I would call soon to secure the ADR's. !
