April Break Trip Report

So first off let me start by saying this trip was almost a year ago. However, we aren’t going to Disney this year and I’m going through withdrawals so I hope this helps with that lol.

Now onto the trip Report. On my 16th birthday, there was just a card on the kitchen table with my name on it. I opened it and inside were $20 in Disney money! I knew we were going to the world at this moment. However, my parents didn’t want to pull us out of school so we had to wait until April to go.

So April spring break came and we started the 20 hour drive from Massachusetts to Sunny Florida! In the car was my mom and dad, myself (age 16 at the time), and my two younger sisters (Sam age 11 and Haley 8). Around 5pm, we checked into All-Star Music. I couldn’t believe we were there. We were located in the Broadway section which I was hopping for because I love the scenery.

We got some dinner and went to bed early. We had a full Day of EPCOT fun ahead.

Day 1: Epcot
We woke up a tad on the late side around 8:30 so by the time we went to get breakfast, it was almost impossible to find a table. We decided to get fruit and fill up our mugs and head straight to EPCOT. It was only about a ten minute wait for the bus which was great.

We Arrived at Epcot around quarter to 10 and it wasn’t packed at all! We were expecting so much worse because of spring break. The sky was a little cloudy and it was supposed to rain that day but we lucked out and didn’t even feel a drop! We started the day by getting a fast pass for Test Track that told us to come back at 12:45. So Sam, My dad and I rode Mission Space while my mom took Haley to see Minnie’s Butterfly thing. The Stand by wait time, 35 minutes! It was great. After meeting up with my mom and sister we all rode Test Track. It was Haley’s first time on and right as we were in the “cold” room…BAM! The ride goes down. It was only down for about 10 minutes though so it wasn’t a big deal. We then did the world Showcase which was really fun now that we are all at an age where nobody is saying this is boring. We also met some Characters along the way. Around 5 we went to the seas with Nemo and Friends. Haley loved this seeing as Nemo is her favorite movie. After that all of us besides my mom went on SSE which had zero line. We then decided to wait in line to see mickey, goofy, Minnie, Donald, and chip and dale. It was now about 8:30 and we needed to get a spot for Illumination which we had never seen before. It was AMAZING! I really liked it. The only one in my family who didn’t was Haley she would much rather watch wishes. We left EPCOT around 10:15 and so ends Day 1 of our Trip. Here are Selected Pictures from EPCOT.

I love trip reports! even if they are from a year ago! how are you remembering all the details?
I did a Trip report on another site when i first came back and its saved as a word doc. so all i had to do was add picture:)

it was also one of those times you remember almost perfectly. The trip itself was as perfect as possible. no we didn't go to any fancy restaurants when down there or anything really special. but my parents were somehow able to get us all down there. Two years ago when we went, my parents decided we couldn't go back for awhile because my dad was diagnosed with cancer(it's gone now:sohappy:) so this trip meant a lot and i was the first one in my family to get to go to wdw as a birthday present.:)

Day 2: DHS

We got to DHS around 9:30. The wait time for TOT was only 15 minutes and RNRC was 30 minutes so we didn’t even bother to get fast passes. We rode TOT first and got the front row! So much fun like always. Then we went to RNRC which I had never been on. I was screaming my head off while singing Aerosmith songs at the same time. After that we went to see voyage of the little mermaid which is one of my favorite shows (even though it’s old). We got a back corner seat so we couldn’t see anything on the right side but we had already seen the show numerous times so it wasn’t a set back. We then went to see Light, Motors, Action! Which was alright although its not a “must see”. Haley, Sam, and my dad enjoyed it a lot. Me and my mom would rather see beauty and the beast. Next we saw Muppets which is always fun. I’ve seen that show thousands of times and yet I still find it funny. Block Party bash was going to start in about 30 minutes so we decided to get some milk shakes and find a seat. The parade wasn’t that great. I think its really aimed towards kids under 10.After that was over, we walked around for a bit taking pictures until the 5:45 showing of Indiana Jones (Haley’s hero). I hope that change that show around a bit like make new stunts and such. When that ended, we went to the backlot tour then we grabbed some hamburgers and around 7:30 started waiting for Fantasmic! When we got in, we sat in the second row near the water. Remind me to bring bug spray next time? It was soooo buggy and cold. But I loved it lol. After existing we went back to the resort were finding nemo was playing by the pool. Around 11 we headed back to our room and called it a day.
